Enhancing Union Avenue – City to Host Public Information Meeting Oct. 12

SARATOGA SPRINGS — The City of Saratoga Springs is in the planning phase of a streetscape improvement project to enhance Saratoga Springs’ signature street – Union Avenue – between East Avenue and Circular Street.

As such, city officials will be hosting an open house to provide background information and context for the overall project as well as to request feedback from residents and neighbors on the existing corridor.

That public meeting will take place 6:30-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 12 at Empire State College, 2 Union Ave.

The goals of the project are to connect Union Avenue to the proposed NYSDOT improvements on Union Avenue between East Avenue and Henning Street, improve pedestrian connectivity and walkability, create safe spaces to bike, and make a more welcoming street for all users while respecting the history and architecture of Union Avenue.
