Blotter Report – Week of September 11 – September 17, 2026

Between September 1 and September 6, 2026, the Saratoga Springs Police Department reported 37 calls for service in their blotter report. The top three incidents were 

1. Disturbance- 5 

2. Property found- 4

3. Crashes- 3

Between September 2 and September 7, 2026. New York State Police reported 188 incidents in their daily blotter reports. The most common incident was property damage accident with 24 reports. In addition, they identified 44 individuals involved in all types of accidents, the median age of which was 44. In terms of arrests, State Police arrested 26 individuals on 41 charges. The median age of those reported was 35. 

The top three municipalities for incidents were 

1. Clifton Park- 46

2. Halfmoon and Wilton (tie) 29

3. Malta- 16

September 2, 2026. 11:10 a.m.- New York State Police arrested two Clifton Park residents in the Town of Clifton Park. The first was charged with one count of felony 1st degree offering a false instrument for filing- intent to defraud. The second was charged with three counts of the same offense. Appearance tickets issued.

September 2, 2026. 11:58 p.m.- New York State Police arrested a Whitehall resident in the Town of Wilton on charges of misdemeanor DWI- first offense and operating a motor vehicle with a BAC of .08 or higher. Appearance ticket issued. 

September 3, 2026. 1:17 a.m.- Saratoga Springs Police arrested a Rock City Falls resident on charges of DWI-first offense. Arrest occurred on Washington Street.

September 3, 2026. 5:41 a.m.- Saratoga Springs Police arrested an Otisville resident on charges of level three sex offender failed to provide photo- first offense, sex offender fail to mail verification form in 10 days- prior offense, level3 sex predator failed to verify address every 90 days- first offense, sex offender fails to report change in address/status within 10 days- first offense. Arrest occurred on Two mile road.

September 3, 2026. 3:12 p.m.- Saratoga Springs Police arrested a Gansevoort resident on charges of 3rd degree assault with intent to cause physical injury. Arrest occurred on Lake Avenue. 

September 3, 2026. 7:32 p.m.- Saratoga Springs Police arrested a homeless/transient individual on charges of 2nd degree criminal contempt and aggravated family offense. Arrest occurred on Lake Avenue. 

September 4, 2026. 1:54 p.m.- Saratoga Springs Police arrested a Greece resident on charges of criminal mischief: reckless property damage greater than $250. Arrest occurred on Lake Avenue.

September 4, 2026. 4:34 a.m.- Saratoga Springs Police arrested a Troy resident on charges of Trespass. Arrest occurred on Church Street.

September 4, 2026. 6:42 p.m.- New York State Police arrested a Ballston Spa resident in the Town of Milton on charges of felony DWI- previous conviction within last 10 years, misdemeanor 3rd degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and misdemeanor unlawful possession of noxious materiel. Appearance ticket issued. 

September 4, 2026. 8:23 p.m.- New York State Police arrested a Clifton Park resident in the City of Saratoga Springs on charges of misdemeanor DWI- first offense and operating a motor vehicle with a BAC of .08 or higher- first offense. Appearance ticket issued. 

September 5, 2026. 2:22 a.m.- New York State Police arrested an Albany resident in the City of Saratoga Springs on charges of misdemeanor DWI- first offense. Appearance ticket issued. 

September 5, 2026. 3:31 a.m.- New York State Police arrested a Brooklyn resident in the Town of Halfmoon on charges of felony DWI: previous conviction in last 10 years, and felony unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. Appearance ticket issued. 

September 5, 2026. 7:54 p.m.- Saratoga Springs Police arrested a Gansevoort resident on  charges of 2nd degree harassment: physical contact, 1st degree criminal contempt: violate order of protection- physical contact, aggravated family offense- more than 1 offense within five years, 3rd degree criminal mischief: damage to another person’s property over $250. Arrest occurred on South Broadway. 

September 5, 2026. 10:07 p.m.- Saratoga Springs Police arrested a Niskayuna resident on charges of DWI- first offense, 2nd degree obstruct governmental administration and driving the wrong way on a one way street. Arrest occurred on Lake Avenue. 

September 6, 2026. 12:25 p.m.- New York State Police arrested a Ghent resident in the Town of Milton on charges of felony 3rd degree criminal mischief: damage another person’s property- amount >$250, misdemeanor 2nd degree reckless endangerment, and two counts of act in a manner to injure a child less than 17. Central arraignment.

September 6, 2026. 10:43 p.m.- New York State Police arrested a Stillwater resident in the Town of Wilton on charges of misdemeanor DWI- first offense, misdemeanor operating a motor vehicle with a BAC of .08 or higher- first offense and misdemeanor 7th degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Appearance ticket issued.

September 7, 2026. 8:23 p.m.- New York State Police arrested a Schuylerville resident in the Village of Victory on charges of felony 3rd degree criminal mischief: damage another person’s property- amount >$250, misdemeanor petit larceny, and misdemeanor criminal mischief: disable equipment to prevent emergency calls.
