Sheila Ann (Tethers) Clarke

Sharon Mcfarlane 

GANSEVOORT – Sharon Mcfarlane, 75, passed away on March 22, 2026. She is predeceased by her parents, Patricia Browne and Robert Browne, her brother Russell, and her daughter Logan. Dr. Robert James Moore

SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY- Dr. Robert James Moore, 60, passed away peacefully March 21, 2026, at Albany Medical Center surrounded by his friends and family. He was born December 7, 1965, at Saratoga Hospital and had been a lifelong resident of Saratoga Springs. He was the second son of the late John Benson Moore and May Jean Faull.

Graduating Saratoga Springs High School in 1984, he continued on to receive a Bachelor of Arts at Siena College, a Master of Science at the State University of New York at Albany and a Doctorate in Philosophy from Penn State University focused on the advanced study of counseling psychology.

Rob practiced psychology at Saratoga County Mental Health for 24 years. It was his one true passion. He loved working with the team at the clinic and helping clients.

He is survived by his brother Michael (Joann) and his partner of over 20 years, William J. Allerdice.

He will forever be remembered for his wit, sarcasm, perfect comedic timing, loving friendship and his Irish goodbyes.

We will miss you more than you will ever know.

John W. Grande 

GANSEVOORT – John W. Grande “Jack”, 82, of 26 Elm St. Gansevoort, NY passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2026, in the comfort of his home after fighting a decade long battle with cancer. 

Jack was born on February 22, 1944, in Little Falls, NY. He graduated from St. Mary’s Academy in June 1962 and joined the U.S. Air Force where he was stationed in Fairbanks, Alaska as a small arms instructor and base police officer. 

When returning home from his military duties he worked for the Evening Times Newspaper and married his wife of 58 years, Ruby Gray of Oppenheim; together they raised two daughters: Jackie Matteson (Eric) of Raleigh, NC and Donna Grande (Samantha) of Greenfield, NY. He accepted a position with Prudential Insurance which took the family to Dayton, Ohio for three years after which time he transferred to Saratoga Springs, NY. Following his retirement from Prudential Insurance, he worked part-time for Adirondack Radiology in Glens Falls, NY. 

Jack was a member of St. Clements Church where he served as an usher. He volunteered for Habitat for Humanity, Rebuilding Together Saratoga and most recently as an Honor Guard and Assistant Quartermaster at the Gerald Solomon National Cemetery, which gave him great pleasure. 

Jack is the proud grandfather of 4 grandchildren: Avery Grande of Saratoga, NY, Gabriel (Sasha) Matteson and Zachary Matteson of Raleigh, NC, and Erica (Brandon) Davenport of Poultney, VT. He is also the proud great-grandfather of Zachary and Blake Davenport of Poultney VT. 

Jack was predeceased by his parents Margaret (Noonan) & John Grande as well as two sisters, Kathleen Aversa of Frankfort and Lorraine Reed of Saratoga. He is survived by 4 sisters: Eleanor Karpowich, Marion DeCostanza, Betty Staring, and Judith Warner as well as 2 brothers Richard and David Grande. In addition, he is survived by 3 sisters-in-law: Mary (Duane) Wright, Judy (Zane) Hall and Dorothy Young and one brother-in-law Ronnie (Pat) Gray. 

The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to Hospice of Saratoga whose unwavering care brought comfort and dignity to him and his family in his final days. 

Calling hours were held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 1, at Compassionate Funeral Care, 402 Maple Ave, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.   An interment with military honors took place on Thursday, April 2, at 11:30 a.m. at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Rd., Schuylerville, NY 12871.

Janice Anne (Goldup) Fennelly


SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY- Janice Anne (Goldup) Fennelly, 78, passed March 22, 2026, in the arms of her daughter, Amy.  Her beloved son Michael, who passed June 3, 2008, was there to hold her hand and guide her home. Patricia A. Greenwood

WILTON, NY – Patricia A. Greenwood passed away quietly on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Saratoga Hospital. 

Patricia was born on May 3, 1954, in Saratoga Springs, NY. She was the granddaughter of the late Edmund and Ruth Reilly of Jumel Place, Saratoga Springs, NY. 

Patricia was an alumna of Saint Clement’s School and graduated from Saratoga Springs High School in 1972. Patricia and the love of her life, John Greenwood, first held hands on a yellow school bus after a ski trip to Gore Mountain in 1970. They would marry on June 15,1974 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Greenfield Center, NY. It would have been their 52nd wedding anniversary in June 2026. 

Patricia retired from Bursar’s Office at Skidmore College in May 2019. She embraced the diversity of the students she was responsible for and the supportive atmosphere of the wonderful coworkers who surrounded her. 

Patricia was proud of her Irish heritage and being a parishioner of St. Clement’s Roman Catholic Church. She was a staunch advocate of child abuse prevention and victim advocacy programs. 

Patricia’s love of sewing began in high school when she would take her babysitting money to buy patterns and materials to make her own clothing. Her love of the craft continued throughout her life, making her own curtains and even creating a family demand for her one-of-a-kind face masks during COVID. She also loved making her home a warm and comforting refuge from the unpredictability of the outside world. 

She was predeceased by her younger brothers, Paul (Bing) Biggie, Philip Biggie, and her dear aunt, Regina Reilly. 

Patricia is survived by her husband, John Greenwood; her sons, Brendan (Stacy) Greenwood, and Kevin (Suzanne) Greenwood; her five grandsons, Michael Greenwood, Garrett Greenwood, Caleb Greenwood, Cohen Greenwood, and Cameron Greenwood; and her great-granddaughter, Gracelee Greenwood. 

Funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations or support of any kind can be made to the Saratoga Center for the Family, 359 Ballston Avenue, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.

Michael John “Mikey” Barron

SCHUYLERVILLE – Michael John “Mikey” Barron answered his final alarm on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at his home surrounded by his wife and dog. He was born April 19, 1958, in Saratoga Springs, New York to the late Peter and Catherine (Falsone) Barron.  

He was a cherished member of the community, known for his skill as a craftsman and his dedication to firefighting. Michael’s career was spent in the maintenance department of the Hollingsworth and Vose Papermill, located in Clarks Mills, NY, from where he retired after many dedicated years of service. 

Known affectionately as Mikey, he was a master craftsman, owning Mike’s Custom Woodworking since 1978, creating unique wood masterpieces. His attention to detail and precision craftsmanship are showcased in every project he completed, from kitchen remodels and trim work to doors and custom furniture. 

Mikey was also a respected member of the Schuyler Hose Co., where he served as Assistant Chief, Captain and Safety Officer, proudly wearing #7 on his helmet, for over 50 years.  Throughout his time of selfless service in the Fire Department, he touched countless lives. 

Mikey was a lover of speed, rock and roll, NASCAR and the Los Angeles Rams; he was well known, for being seen around town on his Harley or in his Black Mercury Hot Rod. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing and deer hunting and was a dedicated member of the White Creek Fish and Game Club, for over 45 years. 

Michael met the love of his life, Julia (Macica) Barron, at her sister’s wedding.  They spent 40 wonderful years together, frequently traveling in search of great food.  Wherever they went, Mike’s favorite was always sausage and mushroom pizza. 

No matter where life took him, his beloved Golden Retriever, Alley, was always by his side; she was his faithful co-pilot on their daily Cumberland Farms coffee runs. 

For those Mikey impacted and helped throughout the years, he wanted to reassure you that everything is going to be ok, and that he loves you all. 

Mikey is survived by his close-knit family, wife Julia (Macica) Barron; son, Jake Davis-Barron; grandson JJ (Tabitha) Barron; brother, Philip (Kristine) Barron; brothers-in-law, Tom (June) Macica, Kenny Macica and Jerry (Kimberly) Macica; sisters-in-law, Margie Hatin and Carolyn (Matt) Wierderct; his special friends, Marshall Truax, Tom and Collin Stewart, Steven and Matt Diehl, Pierre Delvaux and several nieces and nephews. 

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister-in-law, Constance L. Jacobson.

Family and friends may call from 3 to 7 pm on Friday, March 27, 2026, at Flynn Bros, Inc. Funeral Home, 13 Gates Ave, Schuylerville, NY, 12871.  His Mass of Christian Burial will be held the following morning at 10 am at the Notre Dame Visitation Church, Pearl St, Schuylerville, NY, 12871. 

Family and friends are invited to a reception at the Old Saratoga American Legion, Post #278, 6 Clancy Street, Schuylerville, NY, 12871, immediately following his funeral mass. 

Mike’s family will join everyone at the legion following his private burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Jacqueline R. (Perry) Nagel

SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY – Jacqueline R. (Perry) Nagel, 94, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2026.

Jackie was born on July 21, 1931, in Saratoga Springs, New York, the daughter of Samuel and Isabelle Rothe. Jackie and her sisters Jayne and Joan were the first triplets born at Saratoga Hospital.

Jackie graduated as Salutatorian from Saratoga Springs High School and then attended Skidmore College.

Jackie was married to John (Jack) Perry in 1953, and they raised three daughters together. The family enjoyed vacations to Cape Cod and camping in the Adirondacks. In later years, Jackie and Jack enjoyed spending time at their summer camp in Lake Lauderdale.

Following the passing of her husband Jack in 1995, Jackie was married to William Nagel in 2003. They enjoyed the majority of their time together in Florida until his passing in 2006.

Jackie spent many happy years working at a Saratoga Springs pediatrician’s office where she made lifelong friendships and enjoyed many special celebrations.

Faith was an integral part of Jackie’s life, and she was a member of the Presbyterian Church for most of her life. She took a trip to Uganda in 2007 with the AIDS Orphans Education Trust (AOET) where she met Timothy, a child she had been sponsoring, and spent a week with the AOET group helping his local community. Timothy, his family, and the trip were very meaningful to her and one that she spoke about often.

She found the good in everyone and made friends wherever she went. Jackie always had a big smile and compassionate heart. She was dearly loved by her family and friends.

Jackie was predeceased by her parents; her husband Jack Perry; her husband Bill Nagel; her siblings, Jayne Bobinis, Joan Wilson, Cameron Sovich, Ollie Wilcox, and Foster Comstock. She is survived by her loving daughters, Susan (Pete) Salmon, Katherine Rankin, and Nancy (Gregg) Decker; her loving grandchildren, Philip Rankin, Samantha Decker, and Nina Garay; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on March 27, 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway, Saratoga Springs, NY. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM at the funeral home with Rev. Amaury Tañón-Santos officiating. Interment will be in Greenfield Cemetery, Greenfield, New York at a later date. 

Memorial donations in Jackie’s memory may be directed to the Presbyterian-United Church of Christ, 24 Circular Street, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.
