Michael John “Mikey” Barron

SCHUYLERVILLE – Michael John “Mikey” Barron answered his final alarm on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at his home surrounded by his wife and dog. He was born April 19, 1958, in Saratoga Springs, New York to the late Peter and Catherine (Falsone) Barron.

He was a cherished member of the community, known for his skill as a craftsman and his dedication to firefighting. Michael’s career was spent in the maintenance department of the Hollingsworth and Vose Papermill, located in Clarks Mills, NY, from where he retired after many dedicated years of service.

Known affectionately as Mikey, he was a master craftsman, owning Mike’s Custom Woodworking since 1978, creating unique wood masterpieces. His attention to detail and precision craftsmanship are showcased in every project he completed, from kitchen remodels and trim work to doors and custom furniture.

Mikey was also a respected member of the Schuyler Hose Co., where he served as Assistant Chief, Captain and Safety Officer, proudly wearing #7 on his helmet, for over 50 years.  Throughout his time of selfless service in the Fire Department, he touched countless lives.

Mikey was a lover of speed, rock and roll, NASCAR and the Los Angeles Rams; he was well known, for being seen around town on his Harley or in his Black Mercury Hot Rod. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing and deer hunting and was a dedicated member of the White Creek Fish and Game Club, for over 45 years.

Michael met the love of his life, Julia (Macica) Barron, at her sister’s wedding.  They spent 40 wonderful years together, frequently traveling in search of great food.  Wherever they went, Mike’s favorite was always sausage and mushroom pizza.

No matter where life took him, his beloved Golden Retriever, Alley, was always by his side; she was his faithful co-pilot on their daily Cumberland Farms coffee runs.

For those Mikey impacted and helped throughout the years, he wanted to reassure you that everything is going to be ok, and that he loves you all.

Mikey is survived by his close-knit family, wife Julia (Macica) Barron; son, Jake Davis-Barron; grandson JJ (Tabitha) Barron; brother, Philip (Kristine) Barron; brothers-in-law, Tom (June) Macica, Kenny Macica and Jerry (Kimberly) Macica; sisters-in-law, Margie Hatin and Carolyn (Matt) Wierderct; his special friends, Marshall Truax, Tom and Collin Stewart, Steven and Matt Diehl, Pierre Delvaux and several nieces and nephews.

Thomas (Tom) P. Beaury Sr.

LAKE LUZERNE – Thomas (Tom) P. Beaury Sr., 54, passed away on March 13, 2026.

Born on April 2, 1971, in Astoria, Queens, NY, he was the son of Robert Beaury and Elizabeth Sheehan. He grew up in Queens before moving with his family to Lake Luzerne, NY at the age of eight. Tom graduated from Hadley-Luzerne High School and went on to become the proud owner of Beaury Lock & Key, where he built not just a business, but lasting relationships with the people he served through his hard work and honesty.

Tom was a devoted husband to Elizabeth J. Beaury and a proud father to his two sons, Thomas (29) and Taylor (19). He also welcomed a daughter-in-law, Tiffany Demolfetto-Beaury. More than anything, Tom loved being a dad. His greatest joy was being there for his boys—whether that meant coaching, traveling, or simply standing on the sidelines, cheering them on in basketball, wrestling, and martial arts. He was their biggest supporter in everything they did.

Tom will be remembered for his loyalty, his strength, and the way he showed up for the people he loved. He had a passion for basketball, Hapkido, woodworking, fishing, and hunting. He found peace in the outdoors and pride in working with his hands, but nothing meant more to him than time spent with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; his sons, Thomas and Taylor; his daughter-in-law, Tiffany; his siblings, Robert, Brian, Michael, Steven, and Christianne; his beloved dog Reese, who was a truly cherished and loved animal companion; and he held a special place in his heart for all of his nieces and nephews. He was loved deeply and will be missed beyond words by everyone who knew him.

Services will be held on Monday, March 23, 2026, at Brewer Funeral Home in Lake Luzerne, NY from 3:00 to 4:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at Rockwell Falls Presbyterian Church in Lake Luzerne, NY.

Tom’s presence, guidance, and love will remain with his family always.

Jean K. Addesso

BALLSTON SPA – ADDESSO, Jean Katherine (née Heidelmeier), age 89, formerly of Hoboken and Little Ferry, NJ, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2026, in her sleep at her home in Ballston Spa, NY, with family by her side.

Jean was predeceased by her beloved husband of 70 years, Anthony “Tony” Addesso, who was not only her husband but also her best friend and the love of her life. She was also predeceased by her siblings, Louis Heidelmeier, Anna Marie Bufis, Frances Lupinaccio, Olga Della Bella, and Doris Clark.

Jean is survived by her son, Thomas Addesso; her daughters, Patricia Addesso and Vicki Dodd and her husband, Gregory Dodd; and her cherished grandchildren Craig Addesso, Kelsey Dodd and Mason Vairetta. Also, Brenda Pizzute and Louise Tulp, who she loved as if they were her own.

Jean spent many years raising her family in Little Ferry, NJ, where she was very active in the community. She served as both a Cub Scout and Girl Scout leader and was instrumental in the founding and success of the Women’s Club of Little Ferry.

Above all else, Jean was proud to be a homemaker and mother. She took great pride in keeping a warm and immaculate home, loved to entertain, loved the holidays, she welcomed friends freely, and embraced the role of mother and grandmother not only to her own family but to anyone fortunate enough to walk through her door.  Jean also shared a special bond with her beloved Cockapoo, Shadow, who was a constant companion and source of comfort in her life. Shadow meant the world to her, and it brought her peace knowing that they will be together again.

In 1987, Jean and Tony embarked on a new adventure together when they opened TJ’s Stationery Plus on Palisades Avenue in Bogota, NJ. The store and Jean’s welcoming smile became a beloved staple in the community until they sold the business in 1997. They then moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, where they enjoyed time with family and friends for a few years but ultimately Jean needed to be near her children. Jean and Tony returned east and settled in upstate New York so they could be close to their daughter and soon the entire family moved there and began to grow. Jean loved celebrating the milestones of her family, big holiday gatherings, bar-be-cues and watching her granddaughter, Kelsey, perform.

In recent years, despite battling her own health issues, Jean selflessly devoted herself to caring for Tony until his passing just five months earlier. Caring for her family was always her greatest purpose in life. Perhaps there was comfort in knowing that she had fulfilled that purpose so completely.

Jean leaves behind a legacy of hard work, devotion to family, kindness, love and laughter. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her but never forgotten.

Relatives and friends are invited to call, March 28, from 11:30 am-1:00 pm at the William J. Burke & Sons / Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Home, 628 North Broadway, Saratoga Springs, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jean’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research.
