Stars & Gripes: Local Business Owner Fined for Flying Flag
SARATOGA SPRINGS – What does it mean to fly the American flag outside your home or business? It seems no matter where you go in the Spa City; you’re bound to see “Old Glory” waving in the breeze. Whether it’s simply out of respect for one’s country or to honor a loved one serving in the military, it is about as inoffensive a symbol as one could expect to find while out in public.

SOUTH GLENS FALLS – “You have cancer.”
Those words came at Joy Clark and her world went numb. She could still see the doctor and she could still hear her best friend and daughter asking questions, but she felt as though she was totally inside of herself – separated from the real world and the surreal.

A "Gallery of Valor" to Debut at Local VFW Post
SARATOGA SPRINGS – The images are striking. Young men and women, many in uniform, others in t-shirts and fatigues, still others in every day clothes pose for the camera – fleeting moments in time captured on silver emulsion for eternity. But in each, it is their eyes that catch you – a quietness that belies the experiences they must have endured.

H.E.A.P. Program Provides Assistance for Low-Income Households This Winter Season
SARATOGA SPRINGS - As winter draws near, residents are starting to pile up the wood stocks in their yards, dust out the old fireplace, and give their heating systems a few trial runs. The cold weather usually means it’s time to get out the candy canes, blankets, and roast marshmallows in front of the fireplace for some cozy family time in the living room. But winter also means higher heating bills and fuel costs, and for those with lower incomes, the cold weather just means there are more bills to pay.
