There are several reasons why Mr. Masi deserves the “Teacher of the Year” award.
The main reason is his extraordinary ability to connect with and engage all of his students, even those who do not like math. Through his cheerful disposition, Mr. Masi builds relationships with his students. When the time comes to focus on learning the subject matter of the course, Mr. Masi’s students turn their respect for him into respect for what he is teaching. Another reason why Mr. Masi is deserving of this award is because he occasionally tells students about experiences he has had, cautioning them to avoid the mistakes he has made or teaching them an important life lesson. Further, Mr. Masi makes the reviewing of topics fun and interesting through the use of games. The games often have intriguing names such as “Gauntlet” or “Medley.” Mr. Masi also has been known to enliven his games by including a few pop culture questions. Overall, Mr. Masi is deserving of the “Teacher of the Year” award because of his ability to engage all of his students, his sharing of valuable life lessons, and his use of fun and entertaining games to review topics. –Paul {jvotesystem poll=|11|}
