Sheriff’s Office Seeks Information in 33-year-old Murder Case

The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office is seeking any information related to a 33-year-old unsolved homicide out the Town of Charlton.  

Betty Conley was 37 when she was killed while working at the XtraMart gas station which was located at 1958 State Route 67 in Charlton. Conley suffered a single gunshot to the head and was found dead at 3:00 a.m. on July 8, 1993. In addition, money was found missing from the cash register. 

According to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office, at the time of the incident, witnesses described seeing a white sedan with rust on the driver’s side door parked in the gas station’s parking lot. 

In addition, investigators looked into a person of interest described as a “white male, approximately 6 feet 2 inches tall, 30 to 35 years of age, with a medium build, clean-shaven, and shoulder-length blond hair” wearing a peach-colored tank top who was in the area when the incident occurred.
