Three Pounds of Cocaine Seized in Malta Traffic Stop

A Brookyln man is facing felony drug charges after he was allegedly caught with over three pounds of cocaine in Malta. 

Lionel J. Manigault, 41, of Brooklyn, was charged with 1st and 3rd degree felony criminal possession of a controlled substance after his vehicle was pulled over by New York State Police on Interstate 87 in Malta. 

During the traffic stop, troopers found the substance which tested positive for cocaine. In addition, troopers allegedly found a large amount of US currency.

Manigault was arraigned in the Malta Town Court and arraigned in Saratoga County Correctional Facility pending further proceedings.
