CAPTAIN & Capital District Consulting Offer Affordable SAT Prep Course

By Staff Report | Education

CLIFTON PARK — CAPTAIN Youth and Family Services is offering SAT Prep with Capital District Consulting, a company whose mission is self-improvement. Thirty percent of the course fee will be donated to CAPTAIN programs and services. SAT Prep specializes in strategies and techniques that all students should know before taking the SAT. The stated goal of the course is to prevent test anxiety and to fully prepare students to perform at their best on both the math and English portions of the exam. Colleges often base scholarships on a combination of grades and SAT scores; so, underperforming on the test can cost a student and their family thousands of dollars in lost scholarships, and many colleges use the SAT scores in admission decisions. Classes will run from 7 – 9 p.m. on April 3, 10, 21, 24, 28 and May 1. Registration can be completed online at www.capitaldistrictconsulting.com. Classes will be held in the conference room of CAPTAIN Youth and Family Services in Clifton Park, located at 5 Municipal Plaza—Suite 3. Scholarships are available for students in need. For more information regarding the SAT prep course, call Larry Silverman at (518) 469-0259. CAPTAIN Youth and Family Services is a social service agency located in Clifton Park.
