SARATOGA SPRINGS – On Saturday, April 16, fitness enthusiasts gathered and pedaled for an excellent cause at Saratoga Cycling Studio (SCS), 422 Broadway, Suite 3. A 90-minute cycle-thon, organized by Dr. Mark Moreau, owner of Saratoga Smile Care (200 Church Street), and SCS owners Angela and Gerard Amedio, was an opportunity for people to support cyclists’ efforts by pledging donations. On hand to support the festivities (and ride herself) was Miss Empire Rose, Amanda Abdagic.

 BALLSTON SPA –Indoor cycling has arrived in Ballston Spa. Ballston Spa Fitness has expanded its facility with the addition of a brand new indoor cycling studio called Ballston Spa Cycle.

“I've wanted to do this for several years,” said Tiffany Robyck, owner and founder of Ballston Spa Fitness.

BALLSTON SPA – Ava Dallas, age 13 of Wilton, won USA Gymnastics’ New York State Level 7 all-around championship in the Senior A Division, at the state gymnastics meet held at Rockland Community College in Suffern on April 1­ 3. Dallas won the title with an all-around score of 37.375.  

Dallas also won individual titles on the floor exercise (9.575), the vault (9.55) and the balance beam (9.2). With the win, Dallas will represent New York State at the upcoming USA Gymnastics Regional Competition being held in Northborough, MASS on April 16-17.

Dallas competes for Stepping Star Gymnastics, located at 40 South Street, Ballston Spa.

Presidential Candidates Hold Rallies throughout Region

SARATOGA SPRINGS – For one day, Monday, April 11, the dateline of this story could be CENTER OF THE POLITICAL UNIVERSE. This would accurately describe the activity that took place throughout the Capital Region. On that day, political junkies enjoyed a feast – a triple crown, if you will. On that day:

- Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump held a rally at Albany’s Times Union Center that drew an estimated 17,000 people,

- Democratic candidate Bernie Sanders held a capacity-bursting rally at Albany’s Washington Avenue Armory,

- And Republican candidate John Kasich, after making appearances in Albany and Troy, wound up his busy campaign day with a stop locally for a Town Hall style meeting before an SRO audience at the Saratoga Springs City Center.
