Elks Ladies Auxiliary Indoor Craft & Garage Sale

Moonlight Hike

View nature in a new light, as we walk the trails in moonlight. The group will traverse approximately 1.5 to 2 miles of trail. Dress for the weather. Autumn Stroll

Charlie Kuenzel will explore the historic landscape architecture of Congress Park, share about the history of Saratoga and its springs, and highlight the Canfield Casino. Meet at Congress Park in front of Canfield Casino.  All Sunday morning tours last approximately 90 minutes and require walking and standing on varied terrain. Tours will be limited to 30 people and tickets must be purchased in advance. The cost per tour is $15 for SSPF members and $20 for non-members. Members who have received complimentary Stroll passes should contact the Foundation directly to reserve their ticket.

48th Annual Adirondack Balloon Festival
Thursday to Sunday, September 23 – 26 | Multiple locations, various times. This year, the festival cannot allow vendors, children’s activities, or Open Door breakfast, pilots can’t take passengers. At the airport, you can attend a drive-through moonglow to observe 40 tethered balloons, lit up from within. A live band, 8-10 balloons, and possibly fireworks display at the East Field. Festival merchandise will be for sale. Balloon launches subject to weather conditions. “Murder for Hire” Presentation

The Saratoga County History Roundtable will offer a presentation by Russ VanDervoort, Waterford Town Historian. Russ will tell the story of a 150-year-old murder for hire plot that a newspaper called “The Most Damnable Murder Plot Ever Ventilated!”, an event that unfolded in 1870-1871 that involved participants from throughout Saratoga County. Our experienced guides will tell you the stories of How Saratoga became the “Queen of Spas” in the 19th Century.  The tragic story behind the Trask Family and the Spirit of Life statue. The history of the Saratoga City Museum and it’s notorious reputation as the highest rolling gambling casino in the US. How the city rallied to restore the historic Spit and Spat statues. Tours are given Tuesday – Saturday through October. Cost is $20.

Showing The Secret Life of Pets 2. Free. Bring lawn chairs or blankets to sit on. We will follow any continuing guidelines for safe public gatherings that may be in effect at the time of the event.  These may include social distancing measures, face masks and limited capacity in the park for movie viewers.  Rain dates are the next Saturday evening.

Comedy, music and food. The event will honor the sacrifice of firefighter Stephen Siller who laid down his life to save others on September 11, 2001. Gardeners are too often overwhelmed, confused, and discouraged by the “rules” of composting. Faced with an array of bins and barrels, we search for The One that will produce our coveted gardener’s gold. This workshop will present suggestions for cheap, easy, and effective compost strategies for the home gardener, and hopefully eliminate the frustration that so often stalls the quest for an abundance of perfect compost. Time to Sing – Saratoga Voices

Saratoga Voices, formerly known as the Burnt Hills Oratorio Society, invites all singers to join them for their first performance of the 2021-22 season. The opening concert is Handel’s Judas Maccabeus, to be performed on November 19, 7:30 p.m. at the newly renovated Universal Preservation Hall in Saratoga Springs. To take advantage of the hall’s unique theater in the round, the performance will have an interesting twist – a semi-staged concert version of this well-known choral masterpiece. Ghost Tours of the Canfield Casino

11 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. |Is the Canfield Casino haunted? Take a tour with guides who tell their personal experiences of the paranormal in the Canfield Casino. The Canfield Casino was featured on SYFY Network’s show Ghost Hunters and on the Travel Channel’s America’s Most Terrifying Places.  Reservations not required, but tours are limited to 20 people. The Saratoga Arts Celebration

All works displayed will be original and be handmade by the artist. Horse Farm Tour

Noon – 4 p.m. | The community is invited to join CCE Equine for a drive-it-yourself tour. This tour is a wonderful opportunity to personally meet some of the farm owners and horses that make the Saratoga area so unique. It is fun and educational for the whole family. You will meet different breeds of horses and get a behind the scenes look at the horses. The horse farms included on the tour are: Cross Timbers Ranch of Middle Grove, Mill Creek Farm of Stillwater, and Stark Racing Stables of Saratoga. Color Your Summer Arts Festival

1 – 3 p.m. | The Festival is a showcase for the arts workshops which were held in July. Dinosaurs in Motion

The life-sized metal sculptures captivate visitors while their exposed mechanics illustrate science and technology in a fun and engaging way. The exhibition weaves the science, art, and innovation themes throughout and touches on each of these educational topics at each sculpture. Sounds of Summer from the Brookside Porch

The History Center welcomes instrumentalists from the American Federation of Musicians to perform two concerts at Brookside Museum. Performers, including several from the Albany Symphony Orchestra, will be playing popular melodies on Brookside’s front porch. Guests are encouraged to sing and dance along. Students and representatives from the famed Dance Factory of Saratoga Springs will be on hand to teach audience members a few basic steps and, perhaps, even put on a show. Summer Stroll: North Broadway

10:30 a.m. – Noon | Executive Director of the Saratoga Springs Preservation Foundation (SSPF), Samantha Bosshart, will lead a tour of the grand Queen Annes along this famed corridor. All Sunday morning tours last approximately 90 minutes and require walking and standing on varied terrain. Tours will be limited to thirty and tickets must be purchased in advance. The cost per tour is $15 for SSPF members and $20 for non-members. Members who have received complimentary Stroll passes will have those honored for their value of $10 and will be required to pay the difference of $5. Sounds of Summer from the Brookside Porch

3 p.m. | The History Center is pleased to welcome instrumentalists from the American Federation of Musicians to perform two concerts at Brookside Museum.  Performers, including several from the Albany Symphony Orchestra, will be playing popular melodies on Brookside’s grand front porch while guests relax on the spacious front lawn.
