GLOUCESTER, MASS — Brent Ames Wilkes, 67, beloved husband of 22 years of Linda (Dadourian) Wilkes, passed away on Thursday, September 10 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House. Born in Melrose, he is the son of the late Gordon and Frances (Ames) Wilkes.
Brent grew up in Lynnfield and was a graduate of Lynnfield High School. He graduated from UMASS Amherst and then received his graduate degree from the University of Connecticut. Brent was the owner of Northeast Association Management Company INC. Brent lived for many years in Middleton, then spent 12 years in Saratoga Springs, New York and then settling with his wife Linda in Gloucester. He enjoyed being on his boat, playing volleyball and pickleball and enjoying good music. Brent also liked to keep up-to-date on politics, reading the daily newspaper and watching public television.
In addition to his wife Linda, he is survived by daughter Erin Wilkes and her husband Gabriel Casellanos and Erin’s Mother Betsy Timmerman, two stepdaughters Laura Engel and her husband Greg and Anne MacMillan and her husband Dave, one sister, Gail Moyers and her husband Michael, five step grandchildren: Jacob, Justin, Megan and Joshua Engel and Madeline MacMillan, four nieces and nephews: Brent Moyers, Amy Moyers, Daren Wilkes and Stephanie Wilkes, along with many great nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brother Jeffrey Wilkes and step-sister Ruth Adrienne Handschu.
Services for Brent will be held at the Unitarian Universalist Church in Reading, at a date to be announced.

SARATOGA SPRINGS — David A. Wasser, 95 passed away September 2, 2020. He was born in Toronto, Canada on May 22, 1925 to the late Max and Lina Wasser. He completed his preliminary and secondary education in the Toronto Public School System, then went on to receive his MD from the University of Toronto Faculty of Medicine. After graduation, David did his post-graduate training in the United States and Canada, completing his residency in Psychiatry at the State University of Iowa in July 1953.
David married the late Florence E. McAninch in September of 1953. They had three children together before her death in July of 1978.
In the early part of 1957, David came to Saratoga Springs to participate in providing community mental health services to Saratoga, Warren, and Washington counties. He was recognized by his medical colleagues and the Warren-Washington County Mental Health Association for his professional contribution to the community. David was also affiliated with a number of local health care institutions at various times, including Glens Falls, Saratoga, Mary McClellan, and Four Winds Hospitals. He was the past President of the Washington County Medical Society and The Capital District Branch of the American Psychiatry Association, as well as a Diplomate in Psychiatry of the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology and a Distinguished Life Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association.
David was known to friends and family for his sense of humor. He wanted to be remembered as an avid indoorsman. Retiring from his professional practice in 2000, David felt fortunate to be part of a vibrant and caring community. He contributed and served on the governing boards of a number of cultural and service organizations including: Saratoga Chamber Players, Troy Chromatic Concerts, Music from Salem, Caffe Lena, Saratoga County Arts Council, Transitional Services Association, and Saratoga County Community Services Bd. David and his partner Lynne were enthusiastic concert goers and foreign travelers.
David is survived by his partner of 30 years Lynne Gelber; three children Rachel, John (Robin), and Eric (Jean); and grandchildren Nicole and Ian.
A concert in David’s honor will be arranged for next May close to what would have been his 96th birthday.

SARATOGA SPRINGS — Edward Nelson Ramsey, 76, known to friends as “Sonny,” passed away on September 7, 2020 in his home.
He was born on February 11, 1944 in Saratoga Springs to the late Edward and Ruth Ramsey. In 1964 Edward enlisted in the US Navy where he specialized in sheet metal work. During his naval career Edward received a National Defense Medal, and later transferred to the naval reserve manpower center in Bainbridge, Maryland. After the navy Edward worked as a heavy equipment operator and also became a certified security guard. Edward was an avid hunter and fisherman. He could often be found leaning on a tree in the woods, fast asleep. He had great pride in teaching his family his outdoorsman skills.
In addition to his parents, Edward was predeceased by all of his siblings, John Ramsey, Yvonne Dowen, Shirley Loya and Janice Brueckner, also his significant other of many years, Luella “LuLu” Jacques and baby Mark Edward Ramsey.
He is survived by his dog and best friend “Chewie,” several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews, grandchildren from extended family and son Corey Ramsey.
A private service with military honors was held at the North Milton Cemetery on Thursday, September 17, 2020. Arrangements are under the direction of the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 N. Broadway, Saratoga Springs.
