Foursurance Agency Recognized with Make More Happen Award for Supporting Families of Seriously Ill Children Through Capital Cup for Kids

Liberty Mutual Insurance has officially awarded Foursurance Agency a 2026 Make More Happen Award for its dedication to helping local families persevere through the unimaginable challenges of childhood illness via its partnership with Capital Cup for Kids, Inc.

Initially, Foursurance Agency received a $5,000 donation through the Liberty Mutual 2026 Make More Happen Awards program for its partnership with Capital Cup for Kids. After the story was featured on the official Make More Happen microsite, the community rallied with over 750 votes and comments, triggering a matching donation and bringing the total to $10,000.

The additional funding will help Capital Cup for Kids to continue to provide free meals at the Ronald McDonald House NICU Family Room, supply equipment for the Adaptive Winter Sports Program at Double H Ranch, and help Make-A-Wish fulfill their mission to create life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.

Foursurance has supported the organization since 2019, sponsoring a hockey team and helping raise money each year, including a team-record of over $13,000 to date in 2026. Beyond fundraising, the agency adopts a local family as its honorary team captain, providing gifts for the child and essential items and financial assistance for parents overwhelmed by treatment costs, travel, hotel stays, meals, and other everyday expenses not covered by insurance. The team also encourages teammates, friends, family, and community members to contribute, multiplying the impact for families in need.

“Just to see these resilient kids smile so brightly despite knowing the challenges they face and seeing the appreciation on their parents’ faces really warms our hearts,” said Don Ferlazzo, owner of Foursurance Agency. “We’re honored to support Capital Cup for Kids and help provide comfort, hope, and relief to families during some of the most difficult moments of their lives.”
