SCHUYLERVILLE — Live music and fireworks in Fort Hardy Park, and a parade down Broad Street highlighted the Turning Point Parade & Festival Aug. 6 and 7 in the village of Schuylerville.

The annual event marks the defeat of the British Army at the battles of Saratoga and the British surrender during the American War for Independence in 1777. Those battles are often cited by historians as the “Turning Point” of the American Revolution.
