Malta Drive-In Reopens April 24

MALTA — For many Saratogians, the coming of spring yields thoughts of baseball, barbecues, and horses. But with the Saratoga Film Forum returning to action last Thursday and the Malta Drive-In scheduled to open next Friday, spring is also a season of celebration for Saratoga cinephiles.

The Malta Drive-In will screen “The Super Mario Galaxy Movie” and the Michael Jackson biopic “Michael” on its opening day, April 24. Showtimes and co-features have not yet been announced.

The drive-in has been in continuous operation since 1949 and typically runs from April to October. Last year’s lineup included haunted horror nights that featured actors dressed as zombies, masked killers, and other spooky villains.
