Carthage, Tennessee — Sharon Ann Stiles Nigro, 66, formerly of Saratoga Springs, passed away Wednesday, November 13 after a long battle with diabetes.
Born on February 1, 1947 in Saratoga Springs, she was the daughter of the late James and Dorothy Stiles. Sharon was a bus driver for the Shenendehowa and Saratoga Springs School Districts for 15 years. She enjoyed family gatherings, cooking and her large network of friends.
In addition to her parents, Sharon was predeceased by her lifelong partner and first husband Howard “Shorty” Bemiss.
Survivors include her husband, Joseph Nigro of Carthage, Tennessee; three sons, James LaDue, John (Elisa) LaDue and Brian (Michele) Baker; one brother, Bruce (Lillian) Stiles and several cousins, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends may call from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, November 21 at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, November 22 at the funeral home.
Sharon will be laid to rest with her late husband “Shorty” at 11 a.m. at the Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Duell Road, Schuylerville.
