Raymond Blair

QUEENSBURY — Raymond J. Blair passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2015.

Born in North Adams MA, he was the son of Raymond and Rose Mantica Blair.

He joined the Air Force right after graduation from High School. While stationed in Japan, he met and married Kazuko “Kay” Blair. They had four children; Jim, John, Bob (Gilda) and Frank (Wendy Thomas).

Ray had a great love of communication, both written and spoken and used those skills in the Air Force and his employment in civilian life. He was a longtime salesperson for Unifirst Services and loved his job, his customers and everyone he met was a good friend.

In addition to his parents and first wife Kay, Ray was predeceased by his siblings, Rosemarie Baker and John Blair.

Along with his sons, Ray is survived by his wife Nancy Hall Blair and his daughters, Shannon (Carl) Passino and Jeanna (David) Drozinski. Other survivors include his grandchildren Dana, Mike, and Nick Blair, Alex, Brayden and Camden Passino, Jack and James Drozinski and great-grandson Jacob Chapin and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends gathered in his name on Monday, July 6, 2015 at the William J. Burke & Sons Funeral Home of Saratoga Springs. A funeral service followed at the funeral home.

Burial with military honors was held on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road in Schuylerville.
