Robert “Bruce” Shirley, Jr

SCHUYLERVILLE — Robert “Bruce” Shirley, Jr, aged 57, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday June 1, 2016 at Albany Medical Center, with his family by his side. Born on December 21, 1958, he was the son of the late Robert Shirley and Patricia Shirley Pearson. Bruce was the owner and operator of RBS Lumber and Millwork Company for over 20 years before starting his new venture RBS Construction and Millwork Company. He was known for his passion in woodworking and music, being a caring father and husband, and for loving the simple things in life. Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Jo Ann Shirley of Schuylerville; his son Robert Bruce Shirley III of Binghamton, NY; his daughter Jessalyn Karr Shirley of South Glen Falls and his sister Taber Rehbaum of Fairbanks, AK. Relatives and friends gathered to remember him on Sunday, June 5, 2016 at the William J. Burke and Sons/Bussing and Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway in Saratoga Springs.
