Mechanicville, NY – Shirley A. Anuszewski passed away Monday, November 28, 2011, with her loving family by her side. She was 75.
Born July 5, 1936, in Mechanicville, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Cecelia DeCelle. Shirley graduated from Mechanicville High School and throughout her life she worked for the telephone company and was a stay-at-home mom. She was a communicant of All-Saints-on-the- Hudson in Mechanicville. Her life was centered around the love for her family. Shirley enjoyed bingo, puzzles, cards and was an avid NY Yankee fan.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her sisters, Mary Patregnani and Cecelia Coreno; and brother, Alfred Robert DeCelle.
Survivors include her husband, Stephen Anuszewski of 53 years; children, Terrie (Ed) Pingelski of Ballston Spa, Susan (Norman) Collins of Ballston Spa, Stephen (Tina) Anuszewski of Greenwich and Barbara (Ken) McCune of Ballston Spa; siblings, Mildred (Warren) Schell, Patricia Palmer, William (Nancy) DeCelle, Beverly (Robert) Gooley, Madeline DeCelle, Betty Neese, Carol (Frank) Volpe, Frederick (Ann) DeCelle and Gail (Donald) Phillips; and 16 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Friday, December 2, 2011, at All Saints-on-the-Hudson, 121 North Main St., Mechanicville.
Burial will follow in the family plot at St. Paul’s Cemetery, Mechanicville.
The Anuszewski family would like to thank the staff members of Ellis Hospital ICU for their devotion and compassionate care during Shirley’s stay.
