COURT

Elliott Q. Ruggles, 27, of Saratoga Springs, pleaded Nov. 25 to felony DWI. Sentencing Jan. 30, 2020. 

Steven M. Boice, 30, of Saratoga Springs, pleaded Nov. 26 to distributing furanyl fentanyl from his residence in Saratoga Springs that caused an overdose death in Saratoga County in February 2017, according to a statement issued by the Department of Justice, Northern District of New York.  Boice further admitted to possessing two firearms. In his plea agreement, Boice agreed to be sentenced to 240 months, or 20 years, in prison, to be followed by 3 years of supervised release. Senior United States District Judge Gary L. Sharpe will decide whether to accept the recommended sentence on or before the March 25, 2020 sentencing date. Boice has been in custody since his arrest in February 2017. The case was investigated by the DEA and its Capital District Drug Enforcement Task Force; the Saratoga Springs Police Department; and the New York State Police. The Saratoga County District Attorney’s Office assisted in the investigation. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Michael Barnett.

Shane P. Stephens, 27, of Malta, pleaded Dec. 3 to criminal contempt in the first-degree. Sentencing Feb. 11. 

Lee R. Newhall, 34, of Lynn, Massachusetts, was sentenced Dec. 3 to five years of probation, after pleading to attempted criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fourth-degree, in Saratoga Springs. 

Adam D. Livingstone, 27, of Ballston Spa, was sentenced Dec. 3 to two years in state prison, after pleading to attempted criminal sale of a controlled substance in the third-degree, in Malta. 

Billo Camilo-Casnova, 45, of Saratoga Springs, was sentenced Dec. 3 to two years in state prison, after pleading to attempted criminal sale of a controlled substance in the third-degree.

POLICE

Sebastian Coon, 23, of Greenfield was charged Nov. 25 in Saratoga Springs with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, after being involved in a property damage accident on Broadway. 

Janette Hammond, 46, of Clifton Park, was charged Nov. 28 in Saratoga Springs with aggravated operation unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and speeding. 

James Hazeltine, 28, of Loudonville, Paul Eddy, 32, of Albany, Joseph Zelezniak, 22, of Schenectady, and Matthew Lotano, 22, of Saratoga Springs, were each charged with one count disorderly conduct: fight/violent behavior, in connection with an alleged incident that took place Nov. 28 on Caroline Street. Lotano was additionally charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh-degree.    

Melisa Ulrey, 40, of Saratoga Springs, was charged Nov. 22 with criminal possession of a weapon, a felony, and menacing, a misdemeanor. 

Victoria Clark, 22, of Hudson Falls, was charged Nov. 22 with misdemeanor DWI, and failure to keep right. 

Angela Sawyer, 29, of Indian Lake, was charged Nov. 23 in Saratoga Springs with misdemeanor DWI and failure to stop at a stop sign. 

Michelle Dodge, 45, of Stillwater, was charged Nov. 23 with criminal mischief, a misdemeanor. 

Spencer Bath, 24, of Pelham, AL, was charged Nov. 24 in Saratoga Springs with misdemeanor DWI and moving from lane unsafely.
