Saratoga Springs Man Pleads Guilty to Narcotics Trafficking 

Saratoga County District Attorney Brett Eby announced that Anthony Correra, 34 of Saratoga Springs, has pleaded guilty to the entire 13-count indictment charging him with multiple high-level narcotics trafficking and firearms offenses. 

Prosecutors had previously offered the defendant a negotiated disposition of 18 years in state prison. The Court advised that if the defendant pleaded guilty to the indictment in its entirety, it would impose a sentence of 15 years. The defendant accepted the Court’s offer and entered a guilty plea to every count charged in the indictment.

The charges stem from a lengthy investigation conducted by the New York State Police Violent Gang Narcotics Enforcement Team, with assistance from the New York State Attorney General’s Organized Crime Task Force. 

Over the course of approximately three months, investigators conducted numerous controlled purchases during which Correra sold just under seven ounces of cocaine. 

Upon completion of the investigation, law enforcement executed a search warrant at the defendant’s residence in Saratoga Springs. The search resulted in the seizure of more than 2.5 kilograms of cocaine, two loaded handguns, a high-capacity magazine, hundreds of rounds of ammunition, more than four ounces of suspected methamphetamine, hundreds of pills containing suspected controlled substances, numerous digital scales, cutting agents used for narcotics distribution, and a substantial amount of U.S. currency.

“This case is another example of our commitment to holding major narcotics traffickers accountable. A 15-year state prison sentence ensures this defendant will no longer endanger our community by distributing large quantities of illegal drugs while possessing loaded firearms. My office will continue working tirelessly with our law enforcement partners to eliminate drug traffickers from Saratoga County and make clear that those who choose to deal deadly narcotics here will face serious consequences.”

The case is being prosecuted by Special Investigations and Narcotics Unit Chief Meghan A. Horton and Assistant District Attorney Tai White, with assistance from District Attorney Investigator Michael Hourigan. The investigation was led by the New York State Police Violent Gang Narcotics Enforcement Team, with assistance from the New York State Attorney General’s Organized Crime Task Force.
