Mayor’s Office Encourages Residents to Sign Up for Emergency Alerts

The City of Saratoga Springs encourages all residents to enroll in Saratoga County’s Wireless Emergency Notification System (WENS) to receive important emergency alerts directly on their mobile devices.

WENS is used by Saratoga County emergency officials to deliver critical public safety notifications, severe weather alerts, and other emergency information to affected areas. While landline telephone numbers are automatically included in the system, cell phones and Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) phone numbers must be registered to receive alerts.

Because WENS is an opt-in service, community participation is essential. Registering your mobile phone ensures you can receive timely, potentially life-saving information when emergencies occur.

Residents can register by scanning the QR code.

The City encourages all residents to take a few moments to sign up and share this information with family, friends, and neighbors. The more people who are enrolled, the more effective emergency communications will be throughout our community.

For additional information or to register, please visit the Saratoga County 9-1-1 Emergency Notifications webpage.
