No one seems to know what the Saratoga Springs city government will look like if the proposed new charter is adopted.
This proposed charter sets up a city council to hire a city manager. It then gives that unknown manager the authority to “establish, modify, or restructure city departments, offices, or agencies....” Read it for yourself.
Right now I live in a beautiful, clean, and safe city with low taxes. Why would I want to dismantle a government that provides all that and trade it for who knows what some unknown city manager might put together for an unknown cost?
