Dan Provost Memorial Walk 
Dan Provost lived his entire life in Saratoga Springs and passed away in 2014, at age 23, as a result of a drug overdose. The Memorial Walk is to remember lives taken too soon, raise awareness of addiction, educate the community about recovery services, and celebrate those living in recovery. On Saturday, Oct. 5 a 1.5-mile family-friendly walk around the Skidmore Campus will take place. Registration, games and activities begin at 10 a.m. Walk at 11 a.m. Suggested individual donation of $10 and family donation of $20. Proceeds of this event benefit area recovery and education programs, Recovery Advocacy in Saratoga (RAIS) and the Healing Springs Recovery Community & Outreach Center. Artisan & Wellness Fall Fest
Join us for our inaugural two-day fall festival on Oct. 5 - 6 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. at Lakota’s Farm in Cambridge. Live music, local artists, crafters, distilleries, wineries and food trucks. Cost of admission is $1. There will be chair massages, Shaman, Reiki, Intuitive mediums, eco-friendly and holistic living practitioners. Town of Malta Parks & Recreation is seeking food vendors for the 1st Annual Malta Cultural Arts Festival on Oct. 5. This new event, featuring Alex Torres and his Latin Orchestra and Asian Chinese Dance Troupe, celebrates cultural diversity in Malta and surrounding areas. “Nature’s Sweet” Luncheon

Falling Leaves 5K Run 
The Falling Leaves 5K Run and Kids Fun Run will be on Saturday, Oct. 12 at 10 a.m. in Ballston Spa. Registration by Oct. 9 is $25 and day of race is $30. Run begins and ends at Kelley Park. Trip to Italy Presentation
The Friends of the Saratoga Springs Public Library are headed to Italy in Oct. 2020!  Join group leader Rhona Koretzky Forman and a group of 18-24 fellow travelers us as we explore the cities and hill towns of Umbria and Tuscany. We begin our journey in Rome and end in Florence, stopping along our way in Orvieto, Assisi, Spoleto, Bevagna, Volterra, Siena and more. The trip departs on Oct. 2 and returns on Oct. 13, 2020. 17th Annual “The Way We Were” Car Show
Held Sunday, October 13 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Front St. in Ballston Spa. Front Street will be blocked off from Milton Avenue past the Old Iron Springs to accommodate car exhibits and vendors. The Petite Retreat 
The Petite Retreat is an annual event that brings Capital Region families together for an exciting day of learning and exploring the world of parenting - from pregnancy to preschool. Event attendees can look forward to attending over 15 educational workshops, meeting with local parenting experts including doulas, midwives, lactation counselors, and more, as well as shopping for the hottest products for mom and baby. 23rd Annual Autumn Jewels Art Show

Fall Fest Music Night

The Malta Department of Parks and Recreation announces the Malta Community Center Arts, Crafts, and Gifts Fair as Saturday, November 2 from 9 a.m. – 3p.m. Crafters and artisans of handmade items are being sought and vendors of manufactured merchandise will be considered on a juried basis for this lovely event at the Malta Community Center, located at 1 Bayberry Drive in Malta. 2019 Renewable Energy and Sustainable Living Fair
The fourth annual Green Fair or Renewable Energy and Sustainable Living Fair will be held on Saturday, November 16 from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. at the Sage College Armory,130 New Scotland Ave. Albany. Enjoy one-stop shopping with information, services and products related to living in harmony with our earth. It is free and open to the public with ample, accessible parking and great roadside visibility. It is sponsored by Community Advocates for a Sustainable Environment, a local grassroots group. This is the largest indoor/outdoor environmental Fair in the Capital Region. Vendors Wanted for 2019 Annual Artisan’s Market
A juried, month long market, for local vendors of hand-made goods. Vendors set-up their displays and Brookside handles all sales and taxes. Southern Saratoga Art Society Exhibits
Monthly meetings of SSAS are held the 4th Monday of the month at Clifton Park Senior Community Center at 6:30 p.m. Ellie Prakken will demonstrate an abstract in acrylics. The public is invited to all meetings. Local artists and SSAS members are currently exhibiting throughout the area. Visit these venues and support art in southern Saratoga County. Transportation Drivers Needed
RSVP- Retired Senior Volunteer Program, helps recruit volunteers age 55 and older for many opportunities throughout Saratoga County. We are currently looking for Transportation Drivers to take seniors to and from medical appointments. We provide the vehicle, gas, and trip details with directions. Tax Assistance Volunteers
TaxAide, the free income tax assistance program sponsored by the AARP Foundation and the IRS, is seeking volunteers for the coming tax season. Volunteers answer questions, prepare and file returns for low to moderate income taxpayers and seniors from February 1 to April 15 at various sites in the Capital District.  Volunteers typically participate one day per week, with flexible schedules to accommodate volunteer availability. No experience required, but computer experience is helpful for tax counseling.  Volunteers who do not wish to prepare returns are also needed to greet taxpayers and confirm appointments. Training is provided for all positions. Volunteers may be reimbursed for a moderate level of necessary travel expenses.
