Saratoga County Agency Announces New Board

MALTA – This week, the Saratoga County Prosperity Partnership announced its new board of directors, indicating that its leadership reinforces the importance of strong collaboration between the public and private sectors. 

Kevin M. Hedley, MS, CPA, PFS, founder and partner of Hedley and Co. Certified Public Accountants, will serve as Chairman; Brendan Chudy, director of the legal department at GlobalFoundries, will serve as Vice Chairman; Rita Cox, founder of Cox Marketing Solutions, will serve as Secretary; and Arthur Johnson, supervisor of the town of Wilton, will continue to serve as Treasurer.

A private-sector business owner for nearly two decades in Clifton Park, Hedley has served on the Prosperity Partnership board since the county agency was created in 2014. As chairman, he succeeds Waterford Supervisor Jack Lawler, who remains a board member.

Hedley has been a staunch advocate for the agency’s proactive approach to marketing Saratoga County’s assets and advantages to the technology, business and development sectors, both nationally and internationally. In his new role, he is committed to working collaboratively with economic development groups throughout the county to build an environment essential to attracting jobs, companies and investment, and enhancing the quality of life in Saratoga County.

A graduate of Siena College with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration, and the University at Albany with a Master’s of Science – Taxation, Hedley has over 30 years of tax and accounting experience with individual, small- and mid-size businesses.

A dedicated and involved community leader for many years, Hedley is currently a member of the Saratoga Chamber of Commerce board of directors, is an active volunteer and past board chair with American Red Cross, and has been involved in many charitable organizations.
