Explore the exotic cuisine of Gujarat, a state in Northwestern India famous for its rich cultural heritage, especially dance (Garba and dandiya raas) and food. In this class, we will teach you the skills to create a typical Gujarati Thali (plate) that is a daily staple in Gujarati homes. A typical Thali consists of roti (bread), dal (lentils), shaak (vegetables), and rice. For this class, we will make Gujarati Toor Dal (pigeon peas), rotis (flat bread) and basmati rice.
