Craft Supply Give and Take

2 – 6 p.m. | Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. Have craft supplies you no longer need? Drop them off at the Friends of the Library Craft Swap. Then come on Saturday from 10-4 and Sunday 12-3 p.m. and pay what you feel is fair and support the library. This event is designed to keeping it out of landfills and into the crafty hands of someone new. Craft supplies must be in good, clean, usable condition. National Vietnam War Veterans Day

Empire State Aerosciences Museum, 250 Rudy Chase Dr., Glenville | 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Tour our Vietnam era hunter/killer team aircraft: our OH-6A Loach scout helicopter and our newly restored UH-1M gunship. Both aircraft served in the conflict and will be open for you to climb in and inspect. Free admission and free coffee to all Veterans. At 1 p.m., the Daughters of the American Revolution will present a Vietnam Veteran Lapel Pin Presentation and a Surviving Spouse Pin Presentation. Light refreshments will be served. Saratoga and Women’s Suffrage

The Saratoga Springs Preservation Foundation will celebrate Women’s History Month with this program presented by Dr. Sally Roesch Wagner, a highly regarded author and historian of the suffrage movement, with an introduction by Nancy Baird Brown, member of the National Votes for Women Trail. Saratoga’s role in the American Revolution is legendary, but very little is known about Saratoga Springs’ role in the 72-year Bloodless Revolution - the fight for women’s suffrage. Dr. Wagner will discuss Matilda Joslyn Gage and her role in starting the New York State Woman Suffrage Association. A suggested donation of $10.   • Saratoga County Court Saratoga County District attorney Karen Heggen announced 49-year-old Anthony Gargano of Gansevoort pleaded guilty in Milton Town Court on March 5 to a violation of the state Agricultural and Markets Law, a misdemeanor, in connection with a Jan. 4 incident. An investigation by the county Sheriff’s Office revealed that Gargano abandoned a cat, named Kane, after regular business hours outside the Saratoga County Animal Shelter, Heggen said, and that on Shelter cameras, Gargano is seen leaving the cat without shelter and driving away.
