ALBANY — Bob Mould, perhaps best known for his work with the band Hüsker Dü, hits the road for a lengthy worldwide tour that begins March 30 in Ventura, California, and will make regional appearances May 18 at Albany’s Lark Hall, and May 20 at the late Levon Helm’s Studio in Woodstock.
Mould also announced this week the premiere of “The Ocean,” a new EP featuring three solo acoustic live performances via Merge Records and available at all DSPs and streaming services.
Originally recorded for NPR’s World Café at Mould’s Granary Music home studio in San Francisco, “The Ocean” collects stripped back versions of “The Ocean” and “Forecast of Rain,” both first found on 2020’s critically acclaimed album, “Blue Hearts,” as well as a striking rendition of the Hüsker Dü classic, “Divide and Conquer” - from 1985’s “Flip Your Wig.”
