Saratoga Independent School Hosts Parenting Speaker Series on Making Family Mealtimes Less Stressful

Saratoga Independent School (SIS) invites parents and caregivers throughout the Saratoga community to attend the first installment of its Parenting Speaker Series on Thursday, November 19, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. on the SIS campus.

The evening will feature Caitlyn Edson, RD, CDN, a registered dietitian specializing in pediatric nutrition, presenting Feeding the Family. Edson will share practical insights to help families make mealtimes less stressful, navigate common feeding challenges, and foster positive relationships with food.

From picky eating and feeding young athletes to navigating conflicting nutrition information and nutrient needs, families face a variety of questions when it comes to feeding their children. Edson takes an approachable, supportive perspective, emphasizing that all foods have a place and a purpose while helping parents encourage children to become confident, comfortable eaters.

Through her work with families, Edson focuses on helping parents move away from mealtime stress and toward a more positive, balanced approach to food and nutrition at every age.

The Parenting Speaker Series brings local experts to the SIS campus to share knowledge, insights, and practical guidance on topics relevant to today’s parents and families. Events are free and open to the public, making them a resource for the broader Saratoga community. Registration is required: www.siskids.org/programs
