SARATOGA SPRINGS — Lucy L. (Wiegel) Moyer, 88, passed away Sunday, September 15 at the Wesley Health Care Center.
Born on April 22, 1925 in Washington Mills, she was the daughter of the late George and Adella (Houmbruck) Wiegel and had worked for several years as a caretaker for Barton Mines Corp. in North Creek.
She was a former member of VFW Post 420 Ladies Auxiliary and was predeceased by her husband, Earl Moyer, one brother and a sister.
Survivors include her daughter, Patricia Poulette of Gansevoort; two sons, Douglas and Trudi Moyer of South Glens Falls and Paul Moyer and Sandy Perryman of Stillwater and Sandy’s children, Alyssa Tyler and David Braley, Jr.; four grandchildren; James Poulette, III, David Moyer, Jacqueline Poulette and Tara Moyer; one great-granddaughter, Tatiyana Rhodes; several cousins, nephews and one niece.
Relatives and friends may call from 4–7 p.m. on Wednesday, September 18 at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Thursday, September 19 in the Church of St. Peter, 241 Broadway. Private burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to the physicians and staff on 3 Springs at Wesley for their kind and loving care of Lucy for the past seven years.
