Helen L. (DuPont) Tragni Ford

SARATOGA SPRINGS — Helen L. (DuPont) Tragni Ford passed away Sunday, June 12, 2016 at Saratoga Hospital. She was 80. Born on April 30, 1936 in Schenectady, she is a daughter of the late Alfred and Alexina (Caisse) DuPont and was a 1954 graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School. Employed for 19 years at Upstate Loan (Adirondack Finance), she also worked as a secretary for the Saratoga Springs City School District prior to her retirement. A devout Catholic, she was an active member and communicant of St. Clement’s Church, was a volunteer member of the parish’s Resurrection Choir and had also served as the parish secretary for many years. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Douglas J. Ford, her siblings, Alfred, Richard and Harold DuPont, Marion Muscanell, Clara Lautenbach and Irene Lacy. Survivors include her daughters, Diane Baxter of Saratoga Springs and Susan Mallory of South Glens Falls, six grandchildren, Amber Towers, Sarah Galusha, Emily Baxter, Christopher (Erin) Mallory, Barry (Brittany) Mallory and Mandi (Richard) Strassburg, nine great-grandchildren, her twin sister, Alice Kress of Glenville and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends gathered to pay their respects on Tuesday, June 14 at the William J. Burke and Sons/Bussing and Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway in Saratoga Springs. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 in St. Clement’s Church, 231 Lake Avenue in Saratoga Springs. Burial followed in St. Peter’s Cemetery, West Ave. in Saratoga Springs. Investigation into the matter led to the arrest of Julia H.
