Saratoga Springs, NY- Anne Taylor Haldeman, known to many of her friends as Anne Taylor Schlappich, of Embury Apartments in Saratoga Springs, died peacefully surrounded by her children at Saratoga Hospital Thursday, December 1, 2011. She was 82 years old.
Born on January 3, 1929, in East Orange, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Sherman Haldeman and Gladys Taylor Haldeman.
Anne was a graduate of Kutztown State University with a master’s degree in arts education. Recruited by the Saratoga Springs School District in 1950, Anne was an art teacher for several school districts in the area, including Saratoga Springs, Corinth and Galway.
A woman of remarkable creativity and vibrant spirit, she instilled a deep appreciation of art, music, literature, beauty and life in all she touched.
Survivors include her children, Ronald (Jennifer), Robert (Duncan) and Ranann Taylor and Roxanne (John Interrante) Taylor-Yeager; son-in-law, Gary Yeager; and grandsons, Cody and Maxfield.
A gathering in celebration of Anne's life was held Sunday, December 4, 2011 at the Tunison Funeral Home, 105 Lake Ave., Saratoga Springs, NY, 12866.
