HAM Radio Technical Course 

Galway Public Library,
2112 East St., Galway | 6 – 9 p.m. The Library will host the course presented by members of the Fulton Montgomery Amateur Radio Club. Additional Sessions will be held on January 28, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., and January 29, 1 – 4 p.m. The $50 fee includes the test, a year’s membership in the Ham Radio Club if you pass, and a pdf manual. Participants should bring their lunch on Saturday. A HAM radio startup kit is available for $38. Maximum of 10 participants, so registration is required, 518-882-6385. Fish Fry Fridays ?

Aviation Adventures ?

The Saratoga County History Center (SCHC) “Experts Next Door” virtual presentation by Dr. Eliga Gould. Dr. Gould will explain the global war for American independence and the role played by the battles of Saratoga in 1777.  Dr. Eliga Gould is a Professor and Chair of the Department of History at the University of New Hampshire. Poetry Reading

  • Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office  The Sheriff’s Office responded to a domestic incident call on Manchester Drive in the town of Halfmoon on April 21. Investigation into the matter led to the arrest of Julia H. Kim (age 33) of Halfmoon, who was charged with assault in the 2nd degree (class D felony) and criminal possession of a weapon in the 4th degree (class A misdemeanor). Kim is accused of causing physical injury to a person known to her by striking them to the head with a frying pan. She was arraigned before the Honorable Joseph V. Fodera in the Halfmoon Town…
