When you think of Saratoga Farmers’ Market, perhaps fresh vegetables, eggs, and locally-farmed meat come to mind, but how about…breakfast?!

Do you know about the market’s wide range of breakfast options just waiting for you and your gang on a Saturday morning?

The vendors at the winter market provide both savory and sweet choices to add some zip to your morning meal:

•Hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, hot chocolate, smoothies, milk, cider, and more

•Egg/cheese/meat sandwiches, hot off the griddle

•Fresh-baked pastries, muffins, and scones

•Artisan breads: ciabatta, semolina, wheat, sourdough, farm bread, rye bread, baguettes

•Jam, jelly, honey, and maple syrup

•Crunchy local apples

•Burritos made to order

•Sweet, creamy yogurt (fruited, plain, and Greek) and a variety of soft and hard cheese

If you’d like to sit down while at the market, there are cafeteria-style tables in the front hallway (bring your own tableware if desired). Or, go early to the market and take something delicious home to enjoy while you unpack your other market purchases.

As winter lingers, sometimes I want to break the chill with a special breakfast on Saturday morning. If you can relate to this, how about treating yourself to a Saratoga Farmers’ Market breakfast or brunch? If you have school-aged children, it might make a fun family outing during the upcoming school vacation.
