SARATOGA SPRINGS — If you don’t know a dink from a volley, or want to improve your game, you’ll want to be part of one of the Saratoga Springs Recreation Department’s March 22 pickleball workshops for everyone 18 and older.
The Beginners workshop is geared towards players who are new to the game. You will learn the fundamentals and techniques for dink shots, volleys, serve & return, and what is involved in playing a match including scoring, positioning, and strategy.
The Advanced Beginners workshop is geared towards those players who have been playing a short period of time but who know how to score in doubles match play. You will be taught proper technique for hitting dink shots and volleys, as well as instructional tips for your serve & return. Instructors will also go over proper positioning and strategy in doubles match play.
Sign up and save before March 17 – fees through March 16 are $45 for City residents and $65 for non-City residents. Fees March 16 are $70 for City residents and $90 for non-City residents.
The Advanced Beginners workshop is 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. The Beginners workshop is 12 to 2 p.m. Participants will need a paddle, water, and sneakers.
