Saratoga National Cemetery Announces Veterans Legacy Memorial Program

SARATOGA – The Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery announced an online platform developed and managed by the National Cemetery Administration of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

The Veterans Legacy Memorial Program (VLM) is  where families and friends can memorialize their veteran with tributes, photos, historical documents (award citations, letters, newspaper clippings) or other documents related to their veteran and their time in service.

VLM pages automatically announce birth and death dates, military service information, and veteran resting place details.

Log on to  https://www.vlm.cem.va.gov/ and input first and last name, as well as name of cemetery and date of death if known. Links from this webpage provide further program information to explore.

There is a very short login procedure to verify identity if choosing to upload to a veteran page. Becoming a member allows access and the ability to upload a veteran’s page at any time. Membership is not required to search veteran pages and there is no cost.
