Kathleen M. (Flyntz) Burt

SARATOGA SPRINGS — Kathleen M. (Flyntz) Burt, 68, passed away peacefully at her home on April 5, 2016. Born January 31, 1948 in Queens, NY, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Lydia Flyntz. Kathy proudly graduated from Nassau Community College with an Associate Degree in Nursing and was a licensed Registered Nurse her entire career. Kathy worked as a labor and delivery nurse at Saratoga Hospital for many years. She also worked as a public health nurse for the County of Saratoga and as a health care supervisor for community residents of the Wilton Developmental Center. Kathy had a love for animals and all nature. She enjoying reading, oil painting, listening to music and spending time with her fellow parishioners at her church. Kathy is survived by her son, Michael Burt and his fiancé, Christine Keser; her daughter, Christine Burt; grandson, Alexander Burt; her sisters, Teresa “Terry” Granelli and her husband Ken and Margaret “Peggy” Flyntz; she is also survived by several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Kathy’s Life is being held on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church at 399 Union Avenue in Saratoga Springs with Pastor Roman officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Saratoga or the Susan G.
