Anthony M. Smith, age 23, Saratoga Springs, was charged Dec. 18 with criminal possession of a controlled substance. 

Mary B. Murphy, age 50, Ballston Spa, was charged Dec. 17 with aggravated unlicensed operation after being involved in a property damage accident. 

Ryan D. Eggleston, age 24, Glens Falls, was charged Dec. 17 with failure to obey traffic control device, misdemeanor DWI.

Michael P. Ondreicka, age 34, Deer Park, was charged Dec. 17 with criminal mischief, criminal tampering. 

Hannah E. Davidson, age 27, Saratoga Springs, was charged was charged Dec. 17 with obstructing an intersection, misdemeanor DWI, misdemeanor aggravated misdemeanor DWI. 

Kurt J. Bergfjord, age 28, Cooperstown, was charged Dec. 16 with failure to keep right, speeding - posted zone, misdemeanor DWI, misdemeanor aggravated DWI.

Kelsey O. Johnson, age 24, Albany, was charged Dec. 16 with unlawful possession of marijuana, two counts criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Kristopher W. Jackson, age 27, Clifton Park, was charged Dec. 15 with misdemeanor DWI, speeding - posted zone, unsafe lane change, misdemeanor aggravated DWI. 

Amanda Pagan, age 35, Queensbury, was charged Dec. 15 with misdemeanor DWI, two counts failed to stop at stop sign.

Gary P. Mottau, age 58, Saratoga Springs, was charged Dec. 15 with criminal mischief misdemeanor.

Cory M. Nowak, age 27, Ballston Spa, was charged Dec. 15 with operating a motor vehicle impaired by drugs 1st offense- a misdemeanor, two counts failure to keep right, speeding - posted zone.

Kathryn A Price, age 57, of Saratoga Springs, was charged Dec. 21 with felony grand larceny.  A bookkeeper at the Saratoga Convention and Tourism Bureau, she is suspected of stealing more than $220,000 by forging nearly 200 bureau checks dating back to 2015. She was arraigned and released on $5,000 cash bail. City police said they received a complaint in late October alleging the theft of funds from Bureau bank accounts. Initial investigative efforts show the thefts are believed to involve numerous bank accounts held by the Bureau. 

Lloyd Holness, 59, of Schenectady, was charged Dec. 20 with criminal possession of a forged instrument, on the suspicion that he possessed and cashed a forged check at a bank in the town of Malta. 

Taylor E. Pierre, 18, of Clifton Park, was charged Dec. 20 with two felony counts of promoting a sexual performance by a child. It is alleged he contacted two underage females via social media and requested and directed them to take sexually explicit photos and videos, and send them to him.

Jeffrey D. Place, Jr., 23, of Milton, was sentenced Dec. 14 to five years of probation, after pleading to felony reckless endangerment. 

Marcus A. Jackson, age 21, Saratoga Springs, was charged Dec. 15 with two counts criminal sale of marijuana. 

Scott F. Parillo, age 44, Saratoga Springs, was charged Dec. 15 with felony criminal mischief, and felony criminal contempt. 

Jacob W. Perkins, age 27, Fort Edward, was charged Dec. 15 with aggravated unlicensed operation, equipment (rear license plate light). 

Erin L. Canning, age 40, Saratoga Springs, was charged Dec. 14 with attempted coercion 1st degree/violate duty public serv. – a felony, and aggravated harassment in the second degree second – a misdemeanor. 

Pablo Garcia-Soria, age 30, Veldhoven, was charged Dec. 14 with speeding - posted zone, failed to stop at stop sign, unlawful possession of marijuana, misdemeanor aggravated DWI. 

Brandon R. Little, age 32, Ballston Spa, was charged Dec. 13 with felony DWI - 2nd offense, speeding - posted zone. 

Bryan G. Czajkowski, age 29, Apollo Beach, Florida, was charged Dec. 13 with misdemeanor DWI, speeding - posted zone, refuse pre-screen test. 

Nicole M. Poirier, age 22, Saratoga Springs, was charged Dec. 13 with criminal possession of a weapon, menacing second degree – both misdemeanors.

Nicholina J. Sarro, 25, of Ballston Spa, was sentenced Dec. 13 to five years of probation, after pleading to felony grand larceny. 

Brian B. Wade, 37, of Corinth, pleaded Dec. 13 to felony attempted assault. Sentencing scheduled for Feb. 7. 

Adam J. Rouse, 32, of Hudson Falls, was sentenced Dec. 13 to six months in jail, after pleading to failure to report address change within 10 days, in Saratoga Springs. 

Rakell L. Dutcher, 32, of Galway, pleaded Dec. 11 to aggravated DWI with a child, a felony. Sentencing scheduled for Jan. 3, 2018. 

Marshall G. Gaudet, 31, of Malta, was sentenced Dec. 13 to 25-years-to-life imprisonment, after pleading to rape, predatory sexual assault against a child, and two counts of possessing a sexual performance of a child – all felonies. According to the Saratoga County District Attorney’s office, Gaudet created and possessed multiple items of child pornography and committed ongoing acts of sexual assault between 2013 and 2016.     

Gerard R. King, Jr., 53, of Glens Falls, was sentenced Dec. 11 to 13 years in state prison, after pleading to burglary in the second-degree, a Class C Violent Felony, in connection with an incident that occurred in Saratoga Springs. 

Donald P. Gilbert, Jr., 32, of Milton, pleaded Dec. 8 to attempted strangulation, in connection with an incident that occurred in Milton. Sentencing scheduled Feb. 2. 

Norman E. Rose,III, 38, of Milton, pleaded Dec. 8 to felony criminal contempt, in connection with an incident that occurred in Milton. Sentencing scheduled Feb. 26. 

Robert S. Loomis, 30, of Schuylerville, pleaded Dec. 8 to felony sexual abuse, in connection with an incident that occurred in the town of Saratoga. Sentencing scheduled Feb. 9.

Calvin W. Gong, age 59, Saratoga Springs, was charged on Dec. 11 with criminal trespass.

Jeffrey C. Bowen, age 47, Ballston Spa, was charged on Dec. 10 with criminal possession of a controlled substance, and criminally using drug paraphernalia. 

Courtney W. Aesch, age 20, Gloversville, was charged on Dec. 9 with operating motor vehicle while impaired by drugs - a misdemeanor, and unlawful possession of marijuana. 

Raphaella M. Saunders, age 24, Gansevoort, was charged on Dec. 9 with aggravated unlicensed operation – a misdemeanor, and passed a red traffic signal light. 

Roberto M. Ciavarella, age 40, Saratoga Springs, was charged on Dec. 9 with misdemeanor DWI, aggravated DWI, and failing to signal a turn.   

Kenneth W. Cruger, 45, of Greenfield, was charged Dec. 7 with criminal contempt, and assault following a domestic incident in the town of Greenfield. It is alleged Cruger punched a female victim in the face and the victim had an order of protection against him.  Cruger was arraigned and sent to the Saratoga County Correctional Facility in lieu of $2,500 cash, or $5,000 bond. 

Nico J. Rivera, 18, of Ballston Spa, was charged with disseminating indecent material to minors – a felony, and sexual misconduct – a misdemeanor.  It is alleged that Rivera had sexual intercourse with a 15-year-old female victim and sent inappropriate photos of himself to her.  Rivera was arraigned and released on his own recognizance and will answer further to the respective charges in the Ballston Town Court at a later, undisclosed date. 

Jesse R. Harris, 31, of Corinth, was charged Dec. 7 with felony grand larceny, stemming from an incident that occurred in the town of Wilton in September. Harris is suspected of stealing items, cash, and equipment belonging to his employer in the town of Wilton worth a total value amount
of $2902.29.

Dillon J. McIntyre, 18, Robert N. Rouse, 30, and Gary J. Roberts, Jr., 40, all of Hadley, were each charged with felony burglary following an investigation by the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office. The complaint alleges the defendants unlawfully entered a dwelling on Miner Road in the town of Greenfield on Dec. 6 and stole a flat-screen television.

Nicholas J. Valcik, 34, of Ballston Spa, pleaded Dec. 5 to promoting prison contraband in the first-degree. Sentencing scheduled Jan. 30, 2018. 

Trevor J. Hammar, 29, of Milton, pleaded Dec. 5 to felony burglary, and two felony counts grand larceny in connection with incidents suspected of taking place in Milton in October. Sentencing scheduled for Jan. 30. 

Lana M. Senecal, 28, of Middle Grove, pleaded Dec. 6 to felony grand larceny in connection with an incident in Malta. Placed on interim probation to include Treatment Court. 

Blake E. Labarge, 25, of Saratoga Springs, was sentenced Dec. 6 to five years of probation, after pleading to felony DWI, in Saratoga Springs. 

Temujin V. Bozeman, 59, of Saratoga springs, pleaded Dec. 6 to felony DWI in Saratoga Springs. Sentencing scheduled Feb. 7.

Wayne S. Fuller, 57, of Wilton, was sentenced Dec. 6 to five years of probation after pleading to felony DWI. 

Mensah L. Watson, 23, of Saratoga Springs, was sentenced Dec. 7 to three years in state priosn, after pleading to attempted criminal sale of a controlled substance, a felony, in connection with an incident that occurred in Saratoga Springs. 

Jeanne E. Gorcesky, 50, of Saratoga Springs, was sentenced Dec. 7 to five days in jail and five years of probation, after pleading to felony DWI in Wilton.

 

POLICE

Brett N. Klersfeld, age 62, of Valatie, was charged Dec. 9 with criminal sex act in the third-degree, a felony, and forcible touching, sexual abuse, and sexual misconduct – misdemeanors, following a complaint received by the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office of an alleged forced sexual conduct against a female patient by a mental health provider in the town of Malta. 

Klersfeld is accused of engaging in sexual conduct with a female incapable of consent by virtue of her being a patient while he was her mental health care provider. The acts are suspected of having occurred during treatment sessions in October and November 2017.  Klersfeld was arraigned and sent to Saratoga County Jail in lieu of bail or bond to await further proceedings, according to authorities.

Kevin J. Martuscello, 49, of Gansevoort, was charged Dec. 9 with felony grand larceny. It is alleged Martuscello stole a wallet containing cash and debit cards from a basket at the Wilton Walmart on Dec. 4. 

Jacquelyn A. Clark, age 35, Ballston Spa, was charged Dec. 7 with speeding, aggravated unlicensed operation, refused chemical test.

Matthew S. Ragotskie, age 26, Saratoga Springs, was charged Dec. 7 with petit larceny - a misdemeanor. 

Jason E. Berben, age 35, Clifton Park, was charged Dec. 7 with aggravated harassment. 

Timothy M. Derlinga, age 49, Saratoga Springs, was charged Dec. 7 with misdemeanor DWI, fail to signal - turn, change lanes, parked, speeding. 

Jonathan E. Joyal, age 25, Ballston Spa, was charged Dec. 6 with misdemeanor DWI, fail to comply with lawful order of the police, fail to obey traffic control device, unsafe lane change- 4 counts, reckless driving- misdemeanor, speeding, no/expired inspection certificate, unlawful fleeing police officer in motor vehicle – a misdemeanor. 

Victoria M. Hoffman, age 27, Troy, was charged Dec. 6 with petit larceny – a misdemeanor. 

Zachary M. Morgan, age 27, Stillwater, was charged Dec. 6 with issuing a bad check/passes check knowing no funds – a misdemeanor. 

Edouard F. Questel, age 68, Gansevoort, was charged Dec. 6 with assault in the second degree/intent physical injury – a felony. 

John J. Calderon, age 41, Saratoga Springs, was charged Dec. 6 with misdemeanor DWI, aggravated DWI, fail to signal - turn, change lanes, parked, fail to obey traffic control device.

Anne E. Cummins, age 39, Saratoga Springs was charged Dec. 6 with felony DWI as a second offense, felony aggravated DWI, and unlawful use of mobile phones in motor vehicle. Cummins was charged after being involved in a property damage accident.

Isaac W. Greco, age 21, Alonte J. White, age 26, both of Saratoga Springs, were charged Dec. 8 with     assault in the first degree/intent to disfigure, assault in the first degree/during felony/flight, robbery in the first degree/serious physical injury, robbery first degree/threatens use of dangerous instrument, assault in the first degree/intent deadly weapon. It is alleged that during the early morning hours of July 4, Greco and White forcibly stole money from a 30-year old man in the area of Gardner Lane. The victim suffered a significant laceration to his face which required initial emergency medical treatment at Saratoga Hospital and subsequent extended follow-up care, police said.   White is in Saratoga County Jail in lieu of $100,000 cash, or $200,000 bond. Greco is currently lodged with the state Department of Corrections on unrelated charges, according to police, who added that their investigation showed this as an isolated incident and not a random act.

Nicholas L. Moon, 28, of South Glens Falls, pleaded Nov. 30 to felony DWI, in connection with an incident in Saratoga Springs. Sentencing  scheduled Feb. 1, 2018.

Jared M. Tenace, 27, of Schenectady, was sentenced Dec. 1 to 1.5 to 3 years in state prison, after pleading to criminal possession of stolen property, a felony.

John D. Bonarrigo, 48, of Saratoga Springs, was charged Nov. 28 with Criminal Possession of Forged Instrument, a felony, and Petit Larceny, a misdemeanor, in connection with an alleged check-cashing incident that occurred in the Town of Malta on Oct. 16.

 

SARATOGA POLICE REPORT

The Saratoga County Sheriff’s office reported a serious personal injury motor vehicle crash occurred shortly after midnight on the morning of Sunday, Dec. 3 on Donnan Road in the town of Galway. A 2004 Chevy Malibu sedan overturned in a ditch was discovered on the north side of Donnan Road along with the four occupants who had all exited the vehicle. 

The operator of the vehicle, 26-year-old Kayla M. Baker, of Ballston Spa, was taken to Saratoga Hospital by Galway EMS with serious injuries to her upper body and subsequently transferred to Albany Medical Center. 

Passengers Kaila M. Miner, 21, and Paige M. Norton, 21, were taken to Saratoga Hospital for treatment of lacerations, and Capri M. Fafard, 25, transported via Life Net helicopter to Albany Medical Center with head injuries. 

The initial investigation revealed Baker was travelling west on Donnan Road when she exited the north side of the roadway, struck a ditch and overturned the vehicle.  The initial investigation has identified alcohol and vehicular speed as contributing factors to the crash. 

Baker was charged with misdemeanor DWI and reckless driving, the violations unlawful possession of marijuana and unreasonable speed, and several other vehicle and traffic law violations.  She is scheduled to appear in Galway Town Court Jan. 11, 2018. The crash is being investigated by the Sheriff’s Office Collision Reconstruction Unit and additional charges may be filed.

POLICE

James M. Brush, age 42, Saratoga Springs, was charged Nov. 17 with felony grand larceny and criminal possession of stolen property. It is alleged that Brush, who was a member of a painting team working at a home on Echo Ridge Drive, stole jewelry from the home valued in excess of $13,000. Police said “a good portion” of the jewelry has been recovered.  Brush was sent to Saratoga County Jail in lieu of $2,000 cash, or $4,000 bond.

Samuel R. Heroux, age 20, Ballston Lake, was charged Nov. 12 with unauthorized use of a vehicle. 

Elmer L. Santiago, age 45, Saratoga Springs, was charged Nov. 11 with assault, and criminal possession of a weapon. Both charges are felonies.

Ashley M. Abbott, 25, of Ballston Spa, was charged Oct. 31 with two counts assault and two counts endangering the welfare of a child. She is accused of physically disciplining two children – 9 and 4 years of age, respectively – with a belt which resulted in physical injury, in the town of Milton. 

Reece N. Freeman, 20, of Ballston Spa, was charged Oct. 28 with DWI, reckless endangerment and falsely reporting an incident. According to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Department, it is alleged Freeman informed police on scene that he was a passenger in a vehicle that was submerged in water, prompting deputies to enter the water in an effort to offer assistance. Freeman subsequently admitted he was the operator of the vehicle and no one else was inside the car, according to police. 

Jeremiah R. Bennett, 18, of Schenectady, was charged Nov. 1 with felony burglary and grand larceny. It is alleged he entered the attached garage of a dwelling in the town of Ballston and stole an item valued at over $1,000.  Bennett was sent to Saratoga County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash, or $10,000 bond. 

Lee W. Steele, 62, of Milton, was charged Nov. 1 with misdemeanor sexual abuse, on the suspicion that he had sexual contact with a 17-year-old female victim who is deemed intellectually disabled, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Department.

Ricardo Bastidas, age 37, Saratoga Springs, was charged Oct. 17 with aggravated unlicensed operation, speeding. 

Jessica L. Colton, age 33, Greenfield Center, was charged Oct. 17 with aggravated unlicensed operation, fail to obey traffic control device. 

Joshua C. Busold, age 19, Saratoga Springs, was charged Oct. 16 with criminal possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana, equipment (tinted rear window), failed to signal a turn.

November 3rd - November 9th

COURT

Garrett M. Weatherwax, 23, of Ballston Spa, pleaded Oct. 25 to promoting a sexual performance by a child, a felony. Sentencing scheduled for Dec. 20. 

Frank J. Rossi, 26, of Mechanicville, was sentenced Oct. 24 to five years of probation, after pleading to criminal contempt, in connection with an incident in Malta. 

Victor C. Mattson, 39, of Rotterdam Junction, pleaded on Oct. 23 to robbery, in connection with an incident in Ballston. Sentencing scheduled for Dec. 18. 

Lisa M. Lyng, 37, of Saratoga Springs, was sentenced Oct. 23 to five years of probation, after pleading to felony DWI in Wilton.   

Michael J. Davis, of Clifton Park, was sentenced Oct. 23 to 15 years in state prison and 1-1/2 to 3 years post-release supervision, for menacing a police officer, criminal contempt, and assault.  On April 16, Davis, with a shotgun, entered the home of his wife and children in the town of Halfmoon in violation of a stay-away order of protection. His wife and children, in addition to other children in the home at the time, were able to flee unharmed. Davis fired several shots out the window of the residence at officers, according to the county district attorney’s office, before eventually surrendering to authorities more than 20 hours after the start of negotiations with state police. 

Jeanne E. Gorcesky, 50, of Saratoga Springs, pleaded Oct. 19 to felony DWI in connection with an incident in Wilton. Sentencing scheduled for Dec. 17. 

Angela M. Burnside, 36, of Ballston Lake, was sentenced Oct. 19 to three years of probation, after pleading to aggravated DWI, a felony, in Ballston Spa. 

POLICE

Lance M. Smith, age 23, of Mayfield, was charged Oct. 25 with tampering with physical evidence – a felony, DWI while operating a commercial vehicle, aggravated DWI felony, unreasonable speed, operating out of class, and fail to keep right. At 11:30 a.m. on Oct. 25, the Saratoga Springs Police responded to Geyser Road at the railroad overpass for an overturned box truck blocking the roadway, located about 1/2 mile west of Route 50.  According to police, the truck went off the right side of the roadway colliding with the guiderail, and subsequently overturned on its side. The driver and sole occupant of the truck was not injured, but was allegedly found to be intoxicated. 

Christopher R. Bergeron, 38, currently at Greene Correctional Facility, was charged Oct. 24 with five counts burglary, in connection with five separate incidents reported in July and August of 2016, in which Bergeron is accused of burglarizing two homes in Corinth, and one each in the towns of Ballston, Providence and Greenfield.

Kristopher F. Docherty, 29, of Saratoga Springs, was charged Oct. 27 with felony assault. he is accused of causing physical injury by throwing a bottle of wine at a woman following an alleged domestic incident in Wilton. 

Richard A. Faria III, 39, of Mechanicville, was charged Oct. 20 with Criminal Possession of a Weapon, and Grand Larceny, after allegedly stealing a handgun from a residence he was conducting work in, in the town of Ballston. 

Brian A. Mollnow, age 21, Clifton Park, was charged Oct. 22 with misdemeanor DWI. 

Attilia M. Lee, age 20, Saratoga Springs, was charged Oct. 22 with criminal possession of a forged instrument – felony. 

Monique N. Williams, age 26, Schenectady, was charged Oct. 22 with seven counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, and one count false impersonation. 

Robert Ruiz, age 38, Schenectady, was charged Oct. 22 with criminal possession of a controlled substance, and criminally using drug paraphernalia second degree.

October 27th - November 2nd

COURTS

Owen G. Phinney, 23, of Gansevoort, was sentenced Oct. 16 to 10 months jail, after pleading to felony aggravated unlicensed operation, misdemeanor DWI, assault and resisting arrest, in connection with an incident in Saratoga Springs. 

Devon M. Ostrander, 22, of Milton, pleaded Oct. 16 to felony attempted assault. Sentencing scheduled for Dec. 4. 

Mensah L. Watson, 23, of Saratoga Springs, pleaded Oct. 18 to attempted criminal sale of a controlled substance, a felony, in connection with an incident in Saratoga Springs. Sentencing scheduled for Dec. 6. 

Blake E. Labarge, 25, of Saratoga Springs, pleaded Oct. 18 to felony DWI in Saratoga Springs. Sentencing scheduled for Oct. 18. 

Adam J. Rouse, 32, of Hudson Falls, pleaded Oct. 18 to failure to report an address change to Saratoga Springs, a felony. Sentencing scheduled for Dec. 13. 

POLICE

Nacoda E. Meredith, age 20, of Saratoga Springs, was charged Oct. 20 with the felony charge of aggravated harassment in the second degree as a Hate Crime. Investigators from the Bureau of Criminal Investigation in Latham arrested Meredith after an investigation revealed that he was allegedly responsible for making racially motivated threats via social media.

Campus Security from Siena College contacted law enforcement the previous night regarding a report of an employee receiving racially motivated threats through a Facebook account. The threats specifically referenced the employee of Siena College and contained derogatory and racial statements as well as death threats to the employee and his family.  Officials located Meredith at his home in Saratoga Springs where he was taken into custody without incident. He was arraigned in the Town of Guilderland Court and sent to Albany County Jail in lieu of $15,000 cash bail.  An order of protection was put into place at the arraignment and Meredith was ordered to receive a mental health evaluation.

Donald J. Koenig III, 46, of Corinth, was charged Oct. 19 with burglary in the third-degree. It is alleged that Koenig forced entry into an office building on Oct. 4 in the Town of Milton, doing damage to a window and stealing in excess of $2,000. 

Trevor J. Hammar, 27, of Milton, was charged Oct. 17 with three counts felony burglary, five counts felony grand larceny, and one misdemeanor count attempted identity theft. Hammar is alleged to have entered three homes in the town of Milton on different dates since the beginning of October, and had stolen assorted computer equipment, cash, cell phones, credit and debit cards, and other miscellaneous items. then attempted to use the debit cards at an ATM to withdraw money from the victims’ bank accounts.

Nelson D. Bruno, 27, and Tyler R. Paradis, 26, both of Ballston Spa, were each charged Oct. 11 with Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument. Bruno was additionally charged with seven counts burglary and Paradis three counts burglary. All charges are felonies.  Over the span of several months, both are suspected of entering multiple buildings in the towns of Ballston, Malta, and Wilton and stealing numerous items, including tools, construction equipment, lawn equipment, and bank checks which they allegedly forged and cashed.  Bruno was released on his own recognizance and Paradis was sent to Saratoga County Jail with no bail. Both will return to court at a later date.

  • Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office  The Sheriff’s Office responded to a domestic incident call on Manchester Drive in the town of Halfmoon on April 21. Investigation into the matter led to the arrest of Julia H. Kim (age 33) of Halfmoon, who was charged with assault in the 2nd degree (class D felony) and criminal possession of a weapon in the 4th degree (class A misdemeanor).
