COURTS

Mary B. Murphy, 49, of Ballston Spa, was sentenced on May 17 to five years of probation after pleading to falsifying business records, a felony, in connection with an incident that occurred in Corinth. 

Paul E. Vidnansky, 32, of Greenfield, was charged on May 17 with felony assault and strangulation in the second- degree, also a felony, in connection with a domestic incident that allegedly occurred at the Saratoga Hospital and Nursing Home. Vidnasky is suspected of punching and strangling a woman and causing her to lose consciousness, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office. He was sent to Saratoga County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail, or $20,000 bond. 

Ryan T. Adams, 24, of Clifton Park, was sentenced on May 16 to six months in jail and five years of probation after pleading to felony grand larceny, in connection with an incident that occurred in Malta. 

Robin A. O’Brien, 61, of Saratoga Springs, pleaded on May 17 to felony DWI, in connection with an incident that occurred in Wilton. Sentencing scheduled for July 25. 

POLICE

Christopher M. Cuozzo, age 24, Ballston Spa, was charged on May 11 with unlawful possession of marijuana, failure to stop at stop sign, and three counts criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Tyler M. Gilbert-Kavanaugh, age 22, Saratoga Springs, was charged on May 10 with operating a motor vehicle impaired by drugs – a misdemeanor, one equipment and one driving violation, and unlawful possession of marijuana.  

Amy L, Morine, age 38, Ballston Spa, was charged on May 10 with aggravated unlicensed operation, criminal possession of a controlled substance, an equipment violation, and no/expired inspection certificate.   

Tess A. Morency, age 24, Saratoga Springs, was charged on May 8 with operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs, and two driving violations.  

Nicolas J. Sicard, age 22, Clifton Park, was charged on May 8 with criminal possession of a hypodermic instrument, criminally using drug paraphernalia, and criminal possession of a controlled substance – all misdemeanors. 

Michael A. Belloise, age 57, Clifton Park, was charged on May 8 with misdemeanor obstructing governmental administration, failure to comply with lawful order of the police, and a vehicle equipment violation. 

Juanita V. Jackson, age 47, Schenectady, was charged on May 4 with misdemeanor petit larceny.

Joseph M. Campon, age 33, Schenectady, was charged on May 7 with misdemeanor DWI and making an unsafe lane change.

Jarad N. Jones, age 31, Watervliet, was charged on May 7 with felony DWI as a second offense, unlawful possession of marijuana, and three driving violations.

Casey M. Scofield, age 20, Saratoga Springs, was charged on May 6 with operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs, failure to keep right, unlawful possession of marijuana, and speeding.

Edward J. Aliwalas, age 46, Saratoga Springs, was charged on May 5 with misdemeanor DWI. 

James J Altamirano, age 36, Saratoga Springs, was charged on May 5 with criminal trespass, misdemeanor. 

Perry L. Tillman, age 55, Glen Cove, was charged on May 4 with misdemeanor aggravated harassment.

Caitlin G. Herren, age 22, Saratoga Springs, was charged on May 4 with misdemeanor DWI and aggravated DWI, and leaving the scene of an accident. 

William L. Weatherwax, age 34, Saratoga Springs, was charged on May 4 with criminal contempt in the first-degree, a felony, aggravated family offense - felony, and misdemeanor counts of aggravated harassment and resisting arrest.

Jeffery W. Parker, age 30, Schuylerville, was charged on May 3 with misdemeanor DWI. 

Benjamin Gutierrez-Fuentes, age 31, Saratoga Springs, was charged on May 2 with criminal possession of a weapon – a misdemeanor.

Robert J. Loya, age 47, Ballston Spa, was charged on May 2 with felony DWI, and the misdemeanors: obstructing governmental administration, making a punishable false written statement; falsely reporting an incident. 

Mollie J. Fogarty, age 22, Saratoga Springs, was charged on May 2 with misdemeanor DWI and aggravated DWI.

John A. Oakes, 32, homeless, pleaded on May 9 to felony attempted assault DWI in connection with an incident that occurred in Saratoga Springs.   

Fred F. Albright III, 35, of Saratoga Springs, was sentenced on May 10 to one year in jail, after pleading to felony DWI.  

Manuel Olmo, 48, of Saratoga Springs, pleaded on May 5 to felony DWI in connection with an incident that occurred in Saratoga Springs.   

Justin M. Lematty, 28, of Malta, pleaded on May 5 to felony criminal mischief in connection with an incident that occurred in Malta.

Edmund G. Currier III, 63, of Corinth, pleaded on May 8 to felony DWI in connection with an incident that occurred in Saratoga Springs.   

Kimberly J. Voigt, 53, of Ballston Spa, pleaded on May 8 to felony DWI in connection with an incident that occurred in Ballston Spa.   

POLICE 

Two Plattsburgh men face multiple charges after allegedly breaking into a vending machine at the Holiday Inn. Police said Nicholas A. Lord, age 24, and John W. Rotondi, age 52, entered the Holiday Inn at approximately 2 a.m. on May 11, stole the contents, a money container, and caused significant damage to the vending machine. The container and tools suspected to break into the machine were discovered during a traffic stop shortly after the alleged incident.   

Both men were charged with the following misdemeanors: possession of burglar tools, petit larceny, criminal possession of stolen property, and criminally using drug paraphernalia; and felony criminal mischief. Lord was additionally charged with operating a motor vehicle impaired by drugs, and failure to keep right. Both suspects were arraigned and sent to Saratoga County Jail in lieu of bail. 

Edward J. Shusta, age 28, Saratoga Springs, was charged on April 30 with criminal mischief in the fourth-degree, a misdemeanor.  

Jordyn A. Kelly, age 22, Amsterdam, was charged on April 30 with speeding, and aggravated unlicensed operation- a misdemeanor. 

Raymond J. Brown, age 51, Saratoga Springs, was charged on April 30 with misdemeanor DWI, misdemeanor aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and failure to signal a turn. 

Shane M. Comfort, age 39, Gansevoort, was charged on April 29 with aggravated unlicensed operation – a misdemeanor, and failure to signal a turn.   

Alexander C. Moen, age 24, Columbus, Ohio, was charged on April 29 with two misdemeanor counts of criminal mischief.   

Billy Joe E. Ryle, age 40, Saratoga Springs, was charged on April 29 with third degree assault, and endangering the welfare of a child – both misdemeanors. 

James L. Sheeran, age 29, Ballston Spa, was charged on April 29 with misdemeanor DWI, and a driving violation. 

John R. Hile, age 60, Wildwood, Missouri, was charged on April 29 with misdemeanor DWI, and failure to keep right.  

Marc A. Gambaro, age 51, Saratoga Springs, was charged on April 29 with misdemeanor DWI, and passing a red traffic signal.   

On Saturday night May 13, city police closed South Federal Street by the Stonequist Apartments to pedestrian traffic after receiving a call regarding a black duffel bag left unattended. The contents of the duffel bag were found not to be of any threat and the owner of the bag was eventually identified. No criminal activity was involved and the scene was opened back up approximately 60 minutes later. 

Matthew J. Marry, age 28, and Kristine C. Tiger, age 27, both of Saratoga Springs, were each charged on May 5 with two misdemeanor counts criminal possession of a controlled substance, and one misdemeanor count criminally using drug paraphernalia, following the execution of a search warrant on Crescent Street. The search warrant was the result of an investigation into the residence and possible illegal narcotic activities taking place. Both were arraigned and sent to Saratoga County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail.  

Sean M. Warkentin, age 33, Saratoga Springs was charged on April 28 with false impersonation, a misdemeanor.  

Erin L. Cmuchowski, age 23, Chatham, was charged on April 28 with misdemeanor DWI, and speeding. 

Chadwick E. Miner, age 35, Hadley, was charged on April 27 with aggravated unlicensed operation third degree, a misdemeanor. 

Wesanne B. Visscher, age 35, Corinth, was charged on April 27 with misdemeanor DWI, false impersonation, criminally using drug paraphernalia, criminal possession of stolen property, endangering the welfare of a child - a Leandra’s law offense due to the fact that an 8-year-old child was in the vehicle at the time, petit larceny, and the felonies: aggravated DWI, and aggravated unlicensed operation/ under the influence.

COURTS

Francis H. Joy, 34, of Ballston Lake, was charged on May 4 with four counts of attempted rape in the first-degree, three counts of sexual abuse in the first-degree, and one count of sexual conduct against a child, in connection with allegations of an incident to have taken place in Malta in 2017.  Joy is suspected of having sexually abused and attempted to rape a child less than 13 years old on multiple occasions, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s office. Joy was arraigned in Malta Town Court and held in lieu of $30,000 cash, or $60,000 bond. 

James A. Garafalo, 21, of Saratoga Springs, pleaded on May 4 to felony criminal contempt, in connection with an incident that occurred in Wilton. Sentencing scheduled for June 27. 

Timothy P. Sims, 26, of Malta, pleaded on May 4 to felony burglary, in connection with an incident that occurred in Milton. Sentencing scheduled for July 6. 

James L. Mosher, 51, of Moreau, pleaded on May 2 to sexual abuse in the first-degree, a felony, in connection with an incident that occurred in Moreau in December 2015. Sentencing scheduled for June 27. 

John D. Miller, 44, of Albany, pleaded on May 2 to criminal possession of a forged instrument, a felony, in connection with an incident that occurred in Malta. Sentencing scheduled for June 27.

Linda M. Sims, 24, of Ballston Spa, pleaded on May 2 to fourth degree conspiracy, a felony, in connection with an incident that occurred in Milton. Sentencing scheduled for June 27.   

Donnell J. Bertrand, 28, of Schenectady, was sentenced on May 2 to three years in state prison and five years of post-release supervision, and one year in jail to run concurrently, after pleading to one count second degree assault and one count third degree assault, in connection with an incident that occurred in Malta.

Leah H. Detroye, age 19, Porters Corners, was charged on April 27 with criminal mischief, assault, and endangering the welfare of a child. 

Hayden M. Jacobs, age 26, Corinth, was charged on April 27 with petit larceny. 

Graham T. Bodwell, age 57, Ballston Spa, was charged on April 26 with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration- a misdemeanor, and having no/expired insurance.  

Nathan J. Surprenant, age 30, Saratoga Springs, was charged on April 26 with two felony counts of assault, and two misdemeanor counts of resisting arrest.  

Victor Demarco, age 59, Mechanicville, was charged on April 25 with aggravated unlicensed operation, and failure to stop at stop sign.  

Tyler J. Traquair, age 27, Colchester, Vermont, was charged on April 25 with aggravated unlicensed operation, and speeding.  

Hallie E. Gudzan, age 31, Albany, was charged on April 25 with aggravated unlicensed operation, and failure to stop at a stop sign.  

Christopher L. Spenello, age 30, Saratoga Springs, was charged on April 25 with criminal sex act in the third degree/ lack of consent, and rape in the third-degree. Both charges are felonies. 

John A. Maier, Jr., 76, of Ballston Spa, was charged on April 26 with illegal voting, a felony. It is alleged Maier voted more than once in the 2016 General Election, having filed an absentee ballot with the Pasco County, Florida Board of Elections in October 2016 as well as casting a vote on Nov. 8, 2016 in the town of Milton, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office. 

Jayme L. LaQue, 37, of Milton, was charged on April 21 with third-degree arson in connection with a suspicious fire incident at her residence.  

Daniel C. Parent, 19, homeless, was charged with first-degree robbery, and second degree assault – both felonies, in connection with an alleged incident that occurred April 10 in the town of Ballston. Parent is suspected of being one of several people who chased a 28-year old male victim into a parking lot on State Route 50 where they punched, kicked, and hit him with a tree branch, which caused injury, and forcibly took the victim’s boots, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office. He was sent to Saratoga County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash, or $50,000 bond.           

Anthony M. Perez, age 24, Amsterdam, and Mathew C. Budniewski, age 28, Goshen, were each charged on April 23 with unlawful possession of marijuana, and criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Michael R. Sawicz, age 21, Glenville, was charged on April 23 with misdemeanor DWI, and aggravated DWI.  

Elizabeth A. Weber, age 33, Mechanicville, was charged on April 23 with misdemeanor DWI, and speeding. 

Anthony R. Rubino, age 53, Pequannock, New Jersey, was charged on April 22 with aggravated unlicensed operation, and failure to stop at stop sign.  

Lamont L. Wilson, age 45, Schenectady, was charged on April 22 with aggravated harassment in the second-degree.

April 28th - May 4th

COURTS

Wifredo F. Diaz, 44, was sentenced on April 20 to a total of 50 years -to-life in prison, to run consecutively, after the conviction for two counts predatory sexual assault, and single count charges of first degree sexual abuse, and second degree assault. Diaz was also previously convicted for failing to register as a sex offender. The convictions stem from an incident that occurred in Saratoga Springs in August 2016 during which, a trial jury found, Diaz violently, physically and sexually assaulted his victim.  

Jennifer M. Pugliese, 36, of Fort Edward, was sentenced on April 20 to 3-1/2 to 7 years in state prison, after pleading to felony burglary, in connection with an incident that occurred in Wilton. 

William E. Slater, 46, of Gansevoort, pleaded on April 13 to criminal act in the first-degree, a felony, in connection with an incident that occurred in Wilton. Sentencing scheduled for June 8.

Michael J. Waldron, age 41, Saratoga Springs, was charged on April 2 with misdemeanor DWI, criminal possession of a controlled substance, and two driving violations. 

Nicholas L. Moon, age 27, South Glens Falls, was charged on April 1 with felony DWI as a second offense, circumventing a court-ordered interlock device, failure to keep right, and unlawful possession of marijuana.

April 21st - April 27th

COURTS

Charles B. “Chip” Locke, 44, of Porters Corners, pleaded guilty on April 12 to third degree grand larceny, a felony, in connection with the theft of funds from the Greenfield Home School Association. Locke served as treasurer for the Greenfield HSA and admitted to stealing approximately $15,070.70, according to Saratoga County District Attorney Karen Heggen. Locke is scheduled to be sentenced on June 8, during which it is anticipated he will be ordered to serve six months in jail and pay back full restitution to the Greenfield HSA during a period of five years of probation.     

Clifford B. Nichols, 51, of Galway, was sentenced on April 5 to time served and five years of probation, after pleading to felony DWI in connection with an incident that occurred in Milton. 

Joshua Noll, 28, of Gansevoort, was sentenced to 1-3 years in state prison, after pleading to second degree vehicular assault and felony DWI, in connection with an incident that occurred in Saratoga Springs in August 2016. 

POLICE

Adam Y. Paul, age 29, of West Hempstead, was charged on April 14 with Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument in the Second-Degree, Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Third-Degree, and nine Counts Criminal Possession of a Forgery Device – all felonies. The Saratoga County Sheriff’s office said on April 4 a Sheriff’s Deputy on patrol came across Paul parked alone in a town parking lot off of Moe Road in Clifton Park. Paul was suspected of sitting in a vehicle reported stolen from the state of Florida. Paul was detained and further investigation revealed numerous credit cards and a credit card reader/writer machine in the vehicle, according to authorities. In conjunction with the U.S. Secret Service, Albany Office, the credit cards in the vehicle were determined to be forged and contained stolen credit card account information on them. Paul was arraigned and sent to County Jail in lieu of $20,000 cash, or $40,000 bond. The investigation is on-going and additional charges could be filed. 

Ronnie Carrigan, 34, of Ballston Spa, Charaun Meertins, 30, of Clifton Park, David A. Coonradt, 45, of Saratoga Springs, and Jamar Henriquez, 28, of South Glens Falls, were each charged on April 13 with one felony count of grand larceny, one felony count  of welfare fraud, and three felony counts of offering a false instrument for filing. According to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s office, each of the four individuals allegedly submitted documentation to the Saratoga County Department of Social Services to receive benefits they were not entitled to and that they received, in total, more than $37,000. 

Abdellah N. Campbell, 20, of Troy, and Tyler R. Conner, 17, of Ballston Lake, were each charged on April 13 with first degree robbery, and second degree assault, both felonies, in connection with an alleged incident that occurred April 10 in the town of Ballston. Campbell and Conner are accused of being among a group of people who chased a 28-year-old man into a parking lot on Route 50 where they punched, kicked, and hit him with a tree branch causing injury, and forcibly took the victim’s boots, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Department.  Campbell and Conner were sent to jail, in lieu of $25,000 cash bail or $50,000 bond, and $8,000 cash bail, or $30,000 bond, respectively. Additional charges are pending for other suspects involved in the incident, according to authorities.        

Craig M. Guilfoyle, age 31, of Ballston Spa, was charged on April 5 with felony criminal contempt, based on the accusation that he violated an order of protection by appearing at the protected person’s Malta residence and by telephoning the protected person.  He is alleged to have been previously convicted of criminal contempt in the first degree within the preceding five years, resulting in the charge being upgraded to a felony. He was sent to Saratoga County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail, or $20,000 secured bond.

Cathleen T. Gorman, 40, and Edward H. Gorman, 53, both of Saratoga Springs, were each charged on April 7 making a punishable false written statement, and obstructing governmental administration – both misdemeanors, in connection with a motor vehicle accident that occurred in Halfmoon on Dec. 24, 2016. It is alleged they had given misinformation about who was driving the vehicle.  

Karen L. Hickcox, age 37, of Wilton, was charged on April 8 with assault in the second degree. She is alleged to have struck another person with a liquor bottle to the head on March 30 and causing physical injury to that person.  The victim was transported to Saratoga Hospital where she was treated and released. Hickcox was released on her own recognizance.  

Victor A. Maffetone, age 30, Saratoga Springs, was charged on March 26 with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and a vehicle equipment violation. 

Alexander A. Moniot, age 30, Halfmoon, was charged after being involved in a property damage accident on March 26 with misdemeanor DWI, refusing a pre-screen test, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, passing a red traffic signal light, making an unsafe lane change, operating an unregistered motor vehicle on a highway, no/expired insurance, and speeding. 

Keana H. Leton, age 39, Schenectady, was charged on March 29 with unlawful possession of marijuana, misdemeanor DWI, and two driving violations. 

Kalill A. Bostick, age 42, Troy, was charged on March 29 with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration.  

Dianne M. Fuller, age 61, Saratoga Springs, was charged on March 29 with menacing in the second-degree, and criminal possession of a weapon, a felony.  

Joshua J. Allen, age 26, Saratoga Springs, was charged on March 29 with criminal mischief, a misdemeanor. 

Kariann P. Morris, age 46, Charlton, was charged on March 29 with felony grand larceny, and felony burglary. 

Eustace E. Edey, age 28, Malta, was charged on March 28 with unlawful possession of marijuana, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and speeding. 

William E. Covell, age 48, Saratoga Springs, was charged on March 28 with two misdemeanor counts of forcible touching.

Patrick K. Weatherwax, 23, Matthew W. Weatherwax, 23, both of Saratoga Springs, and Joseph Weatherwax, 26, of Earlton, were each charged with one felony count of grand larceny, and two felony counts of burglary. According to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Department, the three brothers - along with a fourth subject yet to be charged- allegedly stole copper from a Greenfield Avenue building in the town of Milton and on multiple occasions, with a value of $2,200, sold it in Albany. All three were arraigned and sent to the Saratoga County Jail due to lack of bail.

The Sheriff’s Office responded to a domestic incident complaint at the Westwood Motel in the Town of Ballston this morning at 3:16 AM.  Investigation into the complaint led to the arrest of the following person for 

Bonnie J. Kent, age 45, Saratoga Springs, was charged on March 20 with second-degree assault, a felony, two misdemeanor counts of endangering the welfare of a child, and one misdemeanor count criminal possession of a weapon, and assault in the third degree.  

Amanda G. Ippoliti, age 23, Mechanicville, was charged on March 19 with misdemeanor DWI, felony aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle under the influence, operating a motor vehicle without a license, and two vehicle equipment violations. 

Rogerio F. Torres, age 35, of Ballston Spa, was charged March 30 with assault in the second degree, a felony, assault in the third degree, a misdemeanor, menacing, and criminal possession of a weapon, in connection with allegedly stabbing his brother in his hand at a motel in the Town of Ballston. He was arraigned, sent to Saratoga County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail, or $20,000 secured bond, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office.

Maximilian E. Chambliss, age 21, Altamont, was charged on March 29 with fourth-degree grand larceny, a felony, in connection with an incident that occurred in February in Corinth. It is alleged that Chambliss entered a residence on Farr Road in Corinth and stole numerous firearms including at least two long guns and four handguns. Some of the above stolen firearms have been recovered in the Albany area; however, some still remain missing. The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office asks that anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of those guns contact them at 518-885-6761. The case remains open as an active investigation and more arrests are expected. 

Brittanie A. Bonnivier, age 21, Mechanicville, was charged on March 17 with unlawful possession of marijuana, criminal possession of a controlled substance, a vehicle equipment violation, and speeding.

March 31st - April 4th

POLICE

Alison J. Pecor, age 20, of Corinth, was charged on March 22 with first-degree vehicular manslaughter, and second-degree vehicular assault – both felonies, driving while ability impaired, and reckless driving – both misdemeanors, and two violations of traffic law, in connection with a serious motor vehicle collision that occurred on Feb. 5 in the town of Hadley. Pecor is accused of driving under the influence of narcotics when her vehicle crossed her lane of travel on Route 9N and struck a vehicle operated by 55-year-old Denise Scofield. Pecor’s 18-month-old daughter, who was in Pecor’s vehicle but not properly secured in her child safety seat, died as a result of injuries suffered in the crash, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office.  Scofield remains hospitalized and is recovering from her injuries. Pecor was sent to County Jail in lieu of $15,000 cash, or $30,000 bond.   

Katelynn M. Skoda, 25, of Ballston Spa, was charged on March 26 with one count DWI, one count driving while ability impaired by drugs, speeding and operating a motor vehicle without insurance following a crash at Forest Hills Mobile Home Park in the town of Milton.  It is alleged Skoda was operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs, left the roadway and struck a tree, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Department. Skoda was extricated from her vehicle by members of the Rock City Falls Fire Department and flown to Albany Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries.  She will appear in Milton Town Court at a later, unspecified date.

Emanuel W. Philippe, age 21, Brooklyn, and Elizabeth M. Stanley, age 20, Schenectady, each face multiple charges following an incident that occurred on March 17.  Saratoga Springs Police said an officer on patrol stopped a car driven by Phillipe, and with Stanley as its passenger, for speeding on West Avenue. It is alleged a search of the vehicle returned marijuana, a scale suspected as being part of drug paraphernalia, an AR-15 assault weapon and two loaded magazines for the weapon that each contained over 20 rounds ammunition.  Police said Phillipe fled the scene on foot, was quickly apprehended and found to have on him more than 25 grams of powder cocaine was packaged in small quantities for individual sale. Philippe was charged with six felonies and three misdemeanors, mostly related to weapons and drug possession charges in connection with the incident and sent to jail in lieu of $75,000 cash, or $150,000 bond. Stanley was charged with three felonies related to criminal possession of a weapon and sent to jail in lieu of $50,000 cash, or $100,000 bond.  

Kristen M. Pohl, age 23, Ballston Lake, was charged on March 12 with criminal possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana, and consumption of alcoholic beverages.  

Samantha M. Hamelin, age 21, South Glens Falls, was charged on March 11 with misdemeanor DWI, and a vehicle equipment violation.  

Richard L. Heithaus, age 21, Saratoga Springs, was charged on March 11 with criminal possession of a hypodermic instrument, a misdemeanor. 

Azaria C. Traver, age 27, Edgewood, Maryland, was charged on March 11 with misdemeanor DWI and operation of a motor vehicle by and unlicensed driver.

John P. Henry, age 24, Saratoga Springs, was charged on March 11 with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and failure to stop at a stop sign.

Craig L. Johnson, 54, of Schenectady, was sentenced on March 15 to 4 years in state prison and 1.5 years post-release supervision after pleading to criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third-degree. 

Jeanne Mosher, 38, and Michael R. Mosher, 38, were both sentenced on March 15 to aggregate sentences of 40 years-to-life, after each pleading guilty to two counts of predatory sexual assault against a child, according to the Saratoga County District attorney’s office. The criminal conduct, which continued over the course of several years, involved two children less than 13 years old. 

POLICE

Charles W. Fosmire, age 41, and Julie M. Ramos, age 48 – both of Malta, were charged on March 10 by the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Department on the suspicion of selling heroin. Fosmire was charged with three felony counts each criminal sale of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a controlled substance, and three misdemeanor counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance. Fosmire was sent to Saratoga County Jail without bail. Ramos was charged with one felony count each of criminal sale of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a controlled substance, and one misdemeanor count of criminal possession of a controlled substance.  Ramos was released on her own recognizance. Both are scheduled to return to Malta Town Justice Court at a later date.

Brian D. Bowden, age 41, Gansevoort, was charged on March 5 with assault in the third degree, and criminal mischief – both misdemeanors.

Kimberly Loftis, age 44, Saratoga Springs, was charged on March 5 with resisting arrest, and obstructing governmental administration – both misdemeanors.

Devin P. Robbins, age 23, Clifton Park, was charged on March 5 with criminal mischief in the third degree, a felony.  

Raphael V. Duncan, age 22, Albany, was charged on March 5 with assault in the third degree, and criminal mischief – both misdemeanors. 

Kyle P. Richman, age 22, Marietta, was charged on March 4 with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor. 

Benjamin B. Allen, age 21, Stoneham, Massachusetts, was charged on March 4 with misdemeanor DWI, refusing a pre-screen test, and failing to signal a turn. 

Zachary M. Turner, age 24, Norfolk, Virginia, was charged on March 4 with obstruction of breathing, a misdemeanor. 

Lamont L. Wilson, Schenectady, was charged on March 4 with criminal possession of a weapon, a felony, and menacing, a misdemeanor. 

John L. Yakush, age 35, Saratoga Springs, was charged on March 3 with one felony count and one misdemeanor count each of criminal possession of a controlled substance and five counts of unlawfully dealing with a child in the first-degree, a misdemeanor. 

Angela D. Osberg, age 42, Saratoga Springs, was charged on March 3 with five counts of unlawfully dealing with a child in the first-degree misdemeanor. 

Rick D. Teetz, age 54, Saratoga Springs, was charged on March 3 with assault in the third degree, and two counts of criminal mischief. All charges are misdemeanors.

Nathaniel Harrington, age 34, Hudson Falls, was charged on March 14 with promoting prison contraband in the first-degree, a felony. 

Donavan A. Lair, age 44, Schenectady, was charged on March 3 with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor, and an equipment violation.   

Kevin L. Dickinson, age 26, Troy, was charged on March 3 with speeding, following a motor vehicle too closely, and operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs, a misdemeanor. 

Heather A. Salerno, age 26, Saratoga Springs, was charged on March 3 with refusing a pre-screen test, misdemeanor DWI, criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, and two vehicle violations. 

Gregory N. Ralph, age 34, Saratoga Springs, was charged on March 3 with misdemeanor DWI, and speeding. 

Satin L. Dewitt, age 29, Saratoga Springs, was charged on March 2 with second-degree menacing, and criminal possession of a weapon – both misdemeanors. 

Wayne M. Bakken, age 19, Saratoga Springs, was charged on March 2 with two felony counts of grand larceny, and misdemeanor petit larceny. 

Kip R. Chapman, age 27, Saratoga Springs, was charged on March 2 with misdemeanor DWI, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a felony, and use of portable electronic devices.   

Collin A. Hunter, age 28, Greenfield Center, was charged on March 2 with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor, and following a motor vehicle too closely.  

Larry E. Baldwin, age 48, Saratoga Springs, was charged on March 1 with misdemeanor petit larceny.  

Jennifer M. Fuller, age 34, Gansevoort, was charged on March 1 after being involved in a property damage accident with felony DWI as a second offense, refusing a pre-screen test, and following a motor vehicle too closely.  

David S. Riley, age 64, Glenville, was charged on March 1 with operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs, a felony, and two driving infractions. 

Tara F. Anderson, age 19, Saratoga Springs, was charged on March 1 with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor, failure to keep right, and unlawful possession of marijuana.  

Kristen Insardi, age 25, Clifton Park, was charged on March 1 with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor, and failure to keep right. 

Lisa R. Milo, age 55, Saratoga Springs, was charged on March 1 with first-degree criminal contempt first degree, and criminal mischief – both felonies. 

William M. Lentz, age 30, Wilton, was charged on Feb. 27 with criminal possession of stolen property, a misdemeanor.  

Timothy E. Amirault, age 27, Saratoga Springs, was charged on Feb. 27 with making a punishable false written statement, and petit larceny- both misdemeanors.  

Deborah A. Demarsh, age 45, Saratoga Springs, was charged on Feb. 27 with two misdemeanor counts petit larceny. 

Shawn M. Johnson, age 34, Saratoga Springs, was charged on Feb. 27 with criminal tampering in the third degree, a felony, and criminal mischief, a misdemeanor. 

Maite Cupp, age 32, Ballston Spa, was charged on Feb. 26 with assault, and criminal mischief – both misdemeanors. 

Ashay L. Waykole, age 29, Ballston Spa, was charged on Feb. 26 with felony DWI as a second offense, criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, and two driving infractions. 

House Fire Claims Life in Northumberland 

NORTHUMBERLAND – A 63-year-old man has died in the aftermath of a fire at a residence at 307 Rugg Road, reports the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office.

At approximately 10:22 p.m. on Sunday March 19, the Sheriff’s Department received a report of a possible structure in the town of Northumberland.  Fire, EMS and Sheriff’s patrols were dispatched to the residence and upon entry by fire personnel, Edward R. Wilusz was located unresponsive and removed from the residence.  He was transported to Saratoga Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.  There were no other occupants in the residence.  

The Saratoga County Cause and Origin Team was dispatched to the scene and is investigating the cause of the fire.

  • Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office  The Sheriff’s Office responded to a domestic incident call on Manchester Drive in the town of Halfmoon on April 21. Investigation into the matter led to the arrest of Julia H. Kim (age 33) of Halfmoon, who was charged with assault in the 2nd degree (class D felony) and criminal possession of a weapon in the 4th degree (class A misdemeanor). Kim is accused of causing physical injury to a person known to her by striking them to the head with a frying pan. She was arraigned before the Honorable Joseph V. Fodera in the Halfmoon Town…
